i felt the butterflies in my stomach as i looked at myself in the mirror.
"remind me why we're doing this," i said, catching jj's eyes through the mirror.
"oh come it'll be fun!" he said and smiled widely. i sighed lightly and shook my head.
when quarantine first started i promised myself to not fuck up my hair totally, however that promised was now starting to break. for some reason jj decided that it would be a fun couples activity to both dye our hair purple and i couldn't say no to him, it would've been a crime. he came home from the story with two bottles of purple hair dye in his hands, smiling like an idiot, wanting us to dye our hair togheter. what was i supposed to do, other than to say yes?
"let's get this party started," i smiled slightly.
"everything's going to be fine baby. you'll look amazing," jj said, trying to make me less nervous.
"thank you love,"
"now let's do this before i explode!" jj almost screamed.
"i'll start with your hair," i said as i grabbed one of the small dye bottles. jj sat down on the chair we had placed in the bathroom earlier, he was smiling widely and it honestly made me so happy to see him like this. ever since quarantine started he's been pretty down, missing his friends, the ocean and just the feeling of living like a free animal.
i grabbed a pair of plastic gloves and slipped them on my hands. i grabbed the purple bottle and opened it, gasping at the vibrant dye.
"it'll fade out when we wash it," jj reassured me. i nervously nodded as i slowly starting applying the dye in his dirty blonde hair.
"there's no turning back now," i stated. but by the look on jj's face, i think we both knew he didn't want to turn back.
"you're fucking crazy," i giggled as i made sure to rub the dye in every possible place, not leaving a single spot blonde.
"i'm fun, that's what i am,"
two hours later we were both finished, looking crazier than ever. my hair was purple, jj's hair was purple. we both had purple hair?
"oh my god, what have we done?" i asked jj as i inspected my new hair colour in the mirror.
"something great," jj answered. he laughed happily as he gave me a hug.
"it looks great baby," he reassured me. i sighed and nodded my head.
"it doesn't look that bad,"
