"There's nothing like us, nothing like you and me, together...."
"No!" I yell as I shoot out of bed. My breathing is heavy, my bed flooded with sweat, my face wet from tears.
"Sting! Are you alright?" I look up and see Rogue standing in the doorway.
"Yeah, I'm fine." It's the middle of the night.
"Are you sure?"
"Yeah I'm fine."
"Well, get some sleep. We have a job in the morning."
"Okay."

***

I couldn't fall back asleep. All throughout the night, I kept glancing to my right, expecting to see her sleeping right there, but she wasn't.
Rogue and I get ready to leave on our job along with the exceeds.
"So, what's this job about again?" I ask.
"Just bandits."
"Easy."
"I know."
We set off on the job. We're walking down a path in the forest when I realize where we are.
"Hey Rogue, do we have to go this way?"
"Why? What's the matter?"
"This...is the path where I first met her." I struggle to say the words.
"Sting, I know you miss her, so do I, do do a lot of people. But it's been seven months, you need to let go."
"I know. It's hard to let go of something that took a big part you when they left."
"Okay, but come on. Lets finish the job and we can talk about it later."
"Okay."

***

We complete the job with ease. Now we're walking back to the guild, taking the same path as before.
"Sting, do you want to sit down?"
"Yeah. That would be nice." we sit down on the grass just off the path. We sit there for awhile.
"Hey you guys!" We hear a voice calling to us. We look up, only to see Natsu and his team.
"Hey Natsu." I say.
"What's up? Why are you sitting on the ground?"
"Just resting." my voice wavers as I fight back the tears. But it doesn't help. A tear trickles down my face.
"Hey, what's wrong?"
"It's nothing."
"Sting, I think it's best that you talk about it. It'll help you feel better." Rogue says.
"Okay." I say. "It's gonna take awhile, so get comfortable." I say. Erza, Natsu, Lucy, Gray, and Wendy all sit down, along with the exceeds.
"It all started when I met her, two years ago...."
