//Very short chapter.. Vote. Comment. Thanks!

Another month flew by but with little changes. The vampire witches were becoming numerous the mishaps seemed to slow down but would start up again. The war was getting worse and Oriel was slowly losing hope that her mother would come home. Not even skating could help occupy her mind and she wished Ash was back home with her.

"How much longer are you going to be with her?" Oriel asked, lounging in her living room as a servant gave herself and Natalie pedicures. "Just a few more months sweetie and then I'll be finished."

"What? Ash.. that's like October. You won't be home until the fall?" Oriel's voice broke on the last word and she fought back tears. "Hey, baby, it's ok. I'm still here, my love." Oriel nodded sighing as her phone's timer went off for some reason. She set a timer? She went to the app, looking over the title of the timer set. Scarlett's Tracker. Oh, it was time for them to take the tracker off. Oriel looked over to Scarlett standing in the corner, overlooking them. "Ash, it's time to take Scarlett's tracker off. It's been about 3 months already.."

"What? Really? When did we put that thing on?"

"April, remember? It's July now."

"Shit.." Ash cursed. "No, not yet, not until we figure this shit out."

Oriel rolled her eyes and bit her lip, not wanting to discuss those matters with Scarlett so close by. "Ok, I'll text you."

"Ok, I love you so much. Hang on, they'll find your mother, baby."

"I know and.. I love you too." Oriel ended the call and texted her.

Ok, well Mitch found out she's a succubus. I admit, that's made things even more sketchy but she hasn't hurt me. What other information do you need?

Let's prove she's not tied to this witch somehow, then we can take it off, ok?

Oriel nodded to herself. Deal.

She tossed her phone aside after the text sent. She smiled down at her ombre pink/black toe nails, they matched her fingernails perfectly. At least that made her happy for the moment. She wasn't really upset about Scarlett. She was more so missing her wife. They hadn't been physical in a while and Oriel was missing the intimacy, sure they cuddled some at the wedding but.. it wasn't much and Oriel went back to sulking once she left again. Her phone went off and she grabbed it, looking down at a text from her Skating Coach. She had another competition soon next month. She nodded, maybe Ash could come to that one. She smiled and thanked the servant as they got up. Natalie flashed her purple/black nails at her and Oriel grinned, flashing her own. She'd look good for California that weekend, she was finally seeing Alex, his girlfriend and baby. She was hoping Ash would go with her but guess not. Oriel allowed Natalie to stay over that night while she busied herself packing. She hadn't been to California so she knew it was going to be fun. She advised Scarlett to pack her belongings as well. "We're catching a plane first thing tomorrow." She spoke up and waved Scarlett off so she could pack, allowing another guard to take her place. "Have things checked out with her yet?"

"We're still figuring things out." Oriel shrugged, throwing a two piece swimsuit into her main luggage bag. "Ash wants us to make sure she's not connected to that witch."

"Oh yea! Avelyn! I saw her on TV that one night.. ya know, it sounds kind of interesting."

Oriel rose a brow, scowling as she looked over to her friend. Natalie shrugged, flipping through channels.

"Ya know, would be cool to have like super powers.."

Oriel rolled her eyes, turning away from her friend. "Natalie, don't do that.." Oriel mumbled.
