Chapter 6

-So in this chapter there is a part that is kind of graphic kind of not. It really isn't that bad, but I just wanted to let you know beforehand and if it gets too much skip until it's not italic anymore. You have been warned.

(Elsie’s P.O.V)

As soon as we broke for lunch, I headed to the line and grabbed my food and took it to the first table that came into my view that was empty. I looked around to see if there was a possibility that Katherine was around. She was okay, but I could hear her and didn’t know if that was a permanent thing or not. I couldn’t hear anyone else.

“Lana” I almost jumped, but I kept it in and slowly turned to the person that just plopped down next to me. Grace put her head down without saying anything. I noticed she didn’t have food, so I put some of my fries by her and nudged her to get up.

“I was late waking up this morning, what’s your excuse for not having enough for lunch?” She didn’t answer me. I snapped to get her attention, but she didn’t say anything. Letting it go, I scanned across the cafeteria. This school definitely sticks to their cliques.

My eyes gazed over to where the boy from earlier sat with other athletes like him.  He was surrounded by the twins I didn’t know and these other girls. A girl with a cheerleading outfit came and sat in the guy’s lap. Unknowingly I growled and in that moment the guy’s head turned to see me, but Katherine’s body blocked my vision.

“I thought I told you that you could sit with me and my friends at lunch today.” Katherine paused and looked to where I was looking. On her face was the most evil grin ever. I looked at her and tried to calm down. Nothing. I took another look at Katherine and didn’t hear any of her thoughts. I smiled at the thought.

“…Ava is definitely playing him. Owen deserves better.” Katherine was now beside me and I noticed that I have missed a lot of what she was saying. One thing I caught was Owen. The name sounded lovely. I had to stop Katherine.

“Hold up…Who’s Owen and who is Ava?” I liked the way Owen rolled off my tongue like I have been saying it forever. She pointed to the couple that made me growl. I had no idea why I growled because I usually don’t do it. All this time when I thought I mastered being a werewolf. I guess not.

Two more people joined us and Katherine introduced them as Caleb and Matt. Caleb wrapped his arm around Katherine and then they were lost in their own little world. Grace left me with them until I couldn’t stand it and left. Walking through the empty rooms, I felt someone following me.

“Come out” A figure comes from the corner and low and behold it was Marcus. He ran to my side and wrapped his arm around my shoulder. I grabbed his hand and placed it back down beside him.

“Ouch” He playfully grabbed his shirt by his heart. He stopped in front of me and gave me a smirk that he gave me earlier. I looked into those hazel eyes of his and let myself get captured in them.

“You’re not really good at spying on someone” I tell him while his eyes went up and down my body then stopped back at my face. His hazel eyes turned golden then he dropped his head back and let out a big laugh. The bell went off and he came closer to my ear and whispered, “Maybe I was being really obvious.” I gasped at the distance between us and then chuckled a little.

“Gotta go to class”

“Skip with me”

“It’s the first day of school and you want to skip. Oh and the last class of the day. Umm…No” He shrugged his shoulders.

“Well it was worth a try” He turned to leave and it kind of saddened me that he was leaving. I reminded myself that I shouldn’t get too attached to anyone. It was too big of a risk to go with him.
