The nighttime raid

Edmunds PoV

It was decided that we would go that night. Just before we were bout to leave Emily pulled Peter aside. I could just hear him or her while everyone prepare for battle

"you can still change you mind, you know."

"why would idol that? So I can do what you brother says?"

"no! but so many are going to be killed!" Peter shook his head and began to walk away. "Peter! Caspian will try to help. I can promise you that but he will try to do many other thing, like kill the king! Keep an eye out for him, please. I wont be there to do so" she let go of his arm and walked over to Caspian. I walked up to Peter.

"what was all that about?" I asked

"doesn't matter! Are you ready Ed?"

'as I'll ever be!" he nodded. We left for the nigh time raid!

Wind rushed through my hair. My hand held tight to my torch. The eagle flapped his wing silently above me, gilding me towards the castle. It was beautiful! But its nothing like Cair Paravel!

We reached the tower. A single guard stood. We hide behind the roof. The egle swooped down and took rthe guard away. I then landed, cheked for anyother gaurds. Then I walked to the side, it was a long way down!!!  I took my torch out and signaled to the others the all clear!

Soon I saw Peter, Susan and Caspian fly over me. In continued to signal. I stopped to see them safely land! I smiled as they go ahead. The plan is in fall swings. Reepicheep would be going for the bridge. Peter Susan and Caspian would be going inside to get the gate open.

I was just standing there. Throwing and catching my torch. Suddenly, it slipped. Oh NO!!!! It landed below. I walked down the stone passage and halfway I looked out of the window and saw a guard picked them you. He turned it oh. Then bells started ringing. What had happened? I jumped on him at knocked it out of his hand. Then we started to fight.

"Now end! NOW!!!!" peter yelled, "signal the troops"

"I'm a little busy Peat!" I said tackling the guard.

He knocked my sword out of my hand. I reached for the torch and hit him over the head. I went to the edge only to find that it wasn't working. I tried to get it to work.

"Its not to late to call this off!" yelled Susan.

"I can still do this!" he said, "help me!"

Guard began to flood the courtyard.

"Come on!" I said trying to make the torch work. Suddenly it turned on. I signaled the go ahead!

"For Narnia!!!!"

I climbed over the roof to see the battle in full swing. I saw a archer about to shot someone I slid down and pushed him over the side.

"ED!!!!" Peter yelled. I looked to the side of me about 20 archers stood ready to attack. I ran into a door as arrows flew over my head I kicked the door shut to protect myself. So far not a scratch! I ran up a flight of stairs I was back to where I started. I put my torch in the way of the door so no one could come outside. I looked over the side I could not jump from that high. Some one wanted to get out. I turned ready to face my fate. Two guards got throw. I looked back over the side and a great relief ran threw me! I fell back and an eagle caught me. I flew on his back. We headed back to our camp. We flew over the battlefield. Everyone o was dead. I hope there were some survivors. Everything was silent. I followed Peter back to camp.
