chapter 15, after school

The two boys laughed with eachother as they walked down towards the exit.
"My mum said she's going to pick us up today!" Midoriya looked up to the tall boy. "She's probably already waiting for us."
Todoroki nodded and smiled back, as they strode through the grand doorway.

"SHOUTO TODOROKI" endeavour stormed towards them, flames shooting upwards. "WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN!"
The split boy shook violently as he struggled to answer "I- I just..."
His brow furrowed as he stared down at the pair.
"You will come home and stay for good." He was no longer shouting but his words remained firm.
"No..." Shouto flicked his head up to see his friend Infront of him with his arms outstretched.
"What did you just say boy?"
Izuku stood his ground and continued to defend the taller one."I said NO"

CRACK

Midoriya slightly stumbled as his hands rose to the hand print on his cheek. Shouto gasped and pulled him into his arms.
Endeavour leant forward for a second blow but a fragile hand grasped his forearm swiftly.

The bull of a man glared at the short lady beside him and flames shot upwards. "LET GO OF ME WOMAN! IM THE NUMBER ONE HERO! HOW DARE YOU TRY AND STOP ME" he tried to shoot a flame at her but she dodged. Within a second, inko used her quirk to propell a nearby rock into his eye.

"I don't give a damn who you are! Nobody hurts my son and gets away with it!" She shrieked at him and threw a second rock in his direction, before rushing over towards the two boys.

Luckily, one of the nearby people had called the police and they pulled up beside the school. They handcuffed the burning trash can and began questioning the victims.
All witnesses agreed that Inko had attacked out of self defense and was indeed trying to protect her son and his friend.

The police also questioned shouto about his home life and what had been happening. He answered each question without hesitation and spoke with them about how hus family was abused for years.

After being questioned, Inko was first to run to her son. She hugged him tightly and whispered comforting comments to him. This seemed to calm him down nearly completrly before being questioned.

A few hours after the incident, the three were finally allowed to leave questioning and go back to the apartment.
The car ride was silent, apart from the odd cough or shuffling. The atmosphere was so dense, that it could probably be cut with a knife.
"So, shouto..." The mother began. "Unfortunately you wont be able to stay with us for much longer. I was told that you are allowed to use our home until the dorm system is put in place."

Izuku glanced over at the split boy as he was staring out of the window beside him. "How long will that be?"

"About a week or so I think. After that, you'll have to return back to your own house." She slightly turned the wheel as they pulled up Infront of the tall block of flats.
The split boy sighed quietly and nodded, "I understand. Thank you."
