I have this REALLY long rant saved, so I decided to post it here in chunks. I'm also gonna be talking like y'all don't know who the fricka frack anyone is, so... read it if you want to I guess??? If you don't, I won't be offended.
So the reason I wrote this thing is because little to no one gives my precious birb enough love.
In fact, there are people who are just like, "His defining character trait is his bird head." This is also what people who see him for the first time think as well.
They're wrong.
Hopefully, you can now see why I wrote this thing. To show everyone the real Fumikage Tokoyami. (And so I can rant about how I fell in love with him)
He's just so freaking perfect. Let's go over the facts that we know about him that back this up.
Number 1, He easily has one of the most powerful quirks in 1-A.
Number 2, He scored third place overall in the sports festival out of, like, a hundred students.
Number 3, He SINGLE HANDEDLY got his team into the next round in the sports festival.
Number 4, he was really the only one in the sports festival that remained a bad@$$ through and through. Don't believe me? Shoto Todoroki was revealed to be a quivering little emo with daddy issues. And he still had to deal with them, which was what he should have done a long time ago. Also, Bakugou threw a huge hissy fit. Iida, who also got third place, became a cold-blooded idiot seeking revenge. Everyone else just wasn't badass enough to make the finals.
Number 5, he managed to get recognized by THE NUMBER 2 HERO.
Number 6, I'm pretty sure he knows how to use that sword in his room.
Number 7, He deeply cares about his friends and is desperate to protect them at all costs, even if it means he has to suffer.
Number 8, he can pLAY THE FREAKING GUITAR!
Number 9, he respects women.
Number 10, he is just a total gentleman in general
Number 11, despite being a little anti-social, he still gets along with everyone.
Number 12, he is very determined and he has the makings of an amazing hero.
And yet no one stans him because he's not some pretty anime boy, smh.
In fact, I've had people call me a furry because of his head. I honestly would be if I fell for him because of his head. I didn't. I fell for him because I saw him for who he truly is.
I would also like to take a bit of time to explain that his head isn't even that his head isn't even 100% bird.
First of all, his feathers are actually either 100% hair styled to look like feathers, or a mix of both. I guess it depends on the translation you're reading.

Another thing is that, unlike birds, he has teeth. Why is this? I honestly have no idea.

Also, beaks normally aren't flexible, but that sneeze says otherwise. So maybe his beak is somehow mixed with human DNA. Mutations quirks ARE pretty common in this show.
So yeah. His head isn't even 100% bird. Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk.
