'Queen Allettare, I see your mission was successful.'

Tim and Chituru noticed how the people all rushed towards her but one in particular seemed closer. It was he who mentioned about a mission.
Tim touched Allettare's arm gently and asked, 'what is he talking about?'
'How dare you touch her you minute creature!'
It was the 'mission guy'. Tim immediately disliked him.
'It's fine Vehementi. I do owe them both an explanation after bringing them here.'
'But my Queen...' Vehementi began, but she cut him short with a look.
'You dare defy me?'

The look of fear was swift and but just as swiftly masked, he glanced at Tim and Chituru, anger evident on his face before he walked away.

'Don't mind Vehementi, he can be a bit... extreme sometimes but he means well.'

They both said nothing as they followed Allettare into a private room in the city. The screams and shouts of the people faded into the background.

'I know you have a lot of questions about everything that you have seen and experienced.' There was a short pause. 'I'll be happy to answer all questions.'

They were all seated. Tim and Chituru sat facing Allettare. They looked at each other. Where to begin?

Chituru spoke up first. 'Why not start from the very beginning.'
Allettare let out a deep sigh, 'Ok.'
'As you can see, this is my city, Luna Orbs. The moon is our goddess and I... we, get our power or energy from it.'
'But if you guys get your energy from the moon, then why do you people live far away from it. Underground... in a cave?' Chituru asked.

Allettare rubbed her face with her palm. 'My people have worshipped the moon goddess for generations  and things have gone on smoothly and we, my people, have lived in peace but a few years ago we found out that our moon was dying...' she let out a sigh and looked to the ground. '...you remember the beast that we met on the surface?' They both nodded. 'The Bestia race, and my people have not really been on the best of terms but because of our power from the moon goddess, we have been able to have the advantage. Unfortunately, we have lost that advantage because the Bestia race somehow figured out that our moon is about to die. Now they constantly challenge us and try to kill us.'

There was an awkward silence that filled the room.

'How does this affect us though?'

Allettare looked at Chituru, hurt.

'What Chituru means to say...' Tim said starring Chituru down, '...is that we are sorry about what happened, is happening, to your people.' Allettare said nothing. 'But you also have to understand that we are both like fish out of water. We have no clue why we are here. Just, make us understand your reason for bringing us here.'

She stood up and walked about the room for a while before finally facing the wall, her back to them.

'I'm sorry about all this. For both what you have gone through since meeting me and what you will go through.'
'What do you mean?' They both asked at the same time, scared of the answer they would get.
'Our fates are intertwined. Without you both our race, my people, will die.'

Tim and Chituru once again stare at Alletare as though she has sprouted an extra head.

'Wha...'
'You can not be serious! How are our fates tied?!' Tim shouted
'Entwined.'
'What?'
'Entwined Tim. Not tied.' Allettare answered calmly.

Chituru spoke before Tim could utter a reply.

'I believe what my friend Tim is trying to say is; we are both from different worlds or whatever and we would prefer a proper explanation as to how our fates are entwined as you so rightly pointed out.'

Allettare noticed the emphasis.

'If I wasn't interrupted, I would have said it already.'

She looked from Tim to Chituru, daring them to say something but Tim had calmed down so he didn't reply. Chituru just looked at her, encouraging her to continue.

'Our ancestors spoke of this day. A time when we will no longer be able to draw power from the moon and darkness envelops Luna Orbs that when that time comes, two men; one of tongues and wit another of courage and passion, will lead us to strength and salvation.'

There was silence. Tim kept looking at Allettare, waiting for her to continue, waiting for the part where they had to play but she returned his stare, saying nothing more. When Tim realized she would say no more his jaw dropped, he glanced at Chituru, expecting him to say something but he was deep in thought.

'Don't tell me you're buying all this prophecy crap!' Tim said hotly, fury burning but Chituru said nothing. He didn't want to believe his friend was actually considering the possibility.

'Allettare,' he began slowly. 'I don't understand what you think we are.' He said this while pointed at himself and Chituru. 'But we are not the people of prophecy and if that's the reason you brought us here then I'm sorry for disappointing you and your people.' He added once he remembered the heroes welcome they were given once they entered the city.

Alletare kept her cool. She understood Tim's vexatious attitude and was even all the more happy about it. He may not know now, but he was the key to the survival of her people. The more he fought it, the more sure she was that it was him. She suspected it the first time they met but the moment they entered her world, she just knew it was him. She felt it. On the other hand, his friend Chituru made her curious. He had said nothing since she told them about how their destinies were entwined but has been deep in thought. Tim she was sure of but Chituru made her skeptical, especially the way he entered the city. She frowned a little, she always felt the person spoken of by their ancestors with wit and tongues would be her or at least someone from their tribe but... could it be him? Alletare was lost in thought.

'I can't be the only one that thinks this is ludicrous.' Tim said incredulously.

Both Chituru and Alletare were obviously thinking of something was he the only sane one?

'I agree.'
'What?' Allettare and Tim answered together. Confused.
'I agree that we are the people your ancestors foretold.'
Tim shook his head. 'Chituru...'
'Why do you seem so sure?' Alletare asked. He piqued her interest.
'I believe we are the first humans who have survived this far and this long in your world and city. Am I correct?'
'Yes.' She answered slowly.
'What happened to the others?'
'Excuse me. What makes you think there are others?'
'You agreed that we are the first to survive this far.' Allettare suddenly realized what Chituru had done.
'If you're asking if there are others...'
'That's exactly what I'm asking.'

There was a glint in his eyes that Allettare was weary of. What was his angle?

'There were others. They died.'
'Why?'
'They couldn't survive the "trip" here.'
'What the heck?! So there was a chance we would die?!' Tim screamed.
'But you didn't.'

Tim just couldn't understand it neither could he understand why Chituru was so calm.

'Tim! You have it. That's your proof. We are the people of prophecy!'

Tim just stood there, looking between Chituru and Alletare, completely and totally confused.

Guyyyysss! What would you do if a random hunk or gorgeous lady teleported you to another world and said you're their last hope of survival?

Lmao! I would freak the fuck out!

What do you think is going through Chituru's mind and why do you think he's so confident?

What about Tim yo? He's confused af! Who wouldn't be?
