Two weeks ago pruitt Herrera told Andy he didn't support jack or his daughter for the captains position , not long after he collapse and Ryan was the first to find him laying on his back no pulse . He brought him to the hospital and tried to call Andy. He never was able to reach her. The next morning Andy work up to 50 missed call from Ryan, she listened to her voicemail and when she heard that her dad was at the hospital she quickly got there. Her dad tried to apologize about his action but Andy wouldn't hear them. She still stayed in the running for captain cause she knew she could do it and there was a big chance she could get it. She was going to visit her dad times to time only when he was asleep just to know how he was doing
The last three days she just stopped going , she was sick of feeling little not at her place like she wasn't strong enough. She did everything in her power to convince Ripley that she was the right choice. Yesterday she talked to Ripley and asked him to not tell her dad the captains choice so she can deal with it later . Tonight was the last night out for Andy maya and Travis before they would know who got choose to be the captain of station 19 , they all knew that a new lieutenant would come in but no one knew his or her name. It was just a transfer of station for some reasons..
Andy , Travis and maya were planning on having a night out to celebrate the end of her running for captain . Even if she don't get the promotion they wanted to celebrate her hard work, all the time and effort she put in this team. She did so much for 19 when she was captain it was cause for celebration. " who's gonna be the driver?because it's definitely not gonna be me" Andy asked. " I can be , since I haven't gotten back to work yet" he said . They were sitting down and saw that chief Ripley was there with probably one of his friend. At that time neither did travis Andy it maya saw how he looked good. Both maya and Andy had a lot of shoots in and lots of beer . Travis made sure to kept them stable and still reactive so he didn't have to drag them on the floor to bring them home, they talked all night about the badass call Andy handle , how much it made jack lost his power. More the hours were going more Travis was trying to find someone for Andy , maya didn't need it she could have every women or man she wanted, but Andy it was difficult she really liked her job. On the other side of the bar chief Ripley was siting with his bestfriend Robert Sullivan . He knew him since he was a little kid exactly like Ryan and Andy. Robert lost his wife 15 years ago and still didn't recovered 100% , but tonight Ripley was planning on finding him someone to at least have a night with Ripley told him that it would be fun so he agreed but he didn't know what he was getting into that night. It was around 11:45 pm that Ripley left Robert saying he had to go home since he had a meeting in the morning and the announcement of the new captain he also told him to go and ask the girl behind Andy and his friends to pay her a beer and see how it goes, but as always he didn't listen to him he was focused on this one person , Andrea Herrera which he didn't knew who it was but she was sure stunning and couldn't keep is eye off her. Travis told maya they should go on the dance floor and Andy stayed there .As Andy took her thing to get up and change table to have a better view on them . Robert went up to her "hi" he said shy " hi" she said confused "I was wondering if I could buy U a drink?" "Sure one more couldn't hurt" she told him and sat beside him . He offered her a beer and he took one as well he could see she was drunk a lot but he still saw in her eyes that she was aware of everything. He was only at two beers . Andy wanted to grab her phone to look at the hour , but she dropped it . She got up and lost balance he quickly held her so she doesn't fall and said "here let me help U with that." He took her phone and handed it back to her he helped her to walk they passed in front of Trav and maya and she said "he's gonna bring me home" . He never offered but seeing how bad she looked he did bring her home but to his house cause she couldn't remember the address . She got here and the first thing they came to her mind was "wait that's not my house where am I" and she probably said it out loud cause he respond to her "U couldn't remember where U lived i brought U at my place , U can sleep here tonight I'll bring U home tomorrow he said to her smiling. "Thank U" she said . He showed her the spare bedroom "here U can sleep here I'll come wake U up tomorrow he helped her get into bed . And she took advantage of him being almost on top of her to take his neck in her arms and kiss him.
