Night Changes

CHAPTER TEN

VICTORIA's POV

"Kaunti na lang at iisipin kong nababaliw ka na."

I stopped from what I was doing and looked at Barbara who was looking at me in a not so ordinary kind of look.

"What do you mean?"

"You've been looking at your scar with an unexplainable smile on your face for almost an hour already. Is there something I don't know? You're freakin' me out."

I smiled at her. "Nothing." I stood from my bed and went inside the bathroom to have some shower. I smiled as I remember him once again. How ironic. A person I once hated to death became the person my eyes wanted to see. I shook my head, erasing the thought and continued taking a bath.

"Is there something wrong?" Barbara asked with a snoot. I just looked at her and shook my head.

We have been strolling around the mall but I couldn't help but to scan the place trying to look for him.

"Okay, I think we already bought everything. Shall we go back?"

"H-huh?" I asked while my eyes were scanning the place, tilting my head from left to right.

"Hey!" Barbara's voice snapped me back so I stopped from what I was doing and looked at her.

"Alam mo kanina ka pa ganyan. Are you okay? Kanina ka pa tingin ng tingin kung saan saan. May hinahanap ka ba?" Pagtatanong niya.

"W-wala. Tara, let's just go back."

Barbara called a cab. We both hopped inside and after a short while, finally arrived at the hotel. Duque and Harvey who were waiting outside helped us with the paper bags.

"Are you guys hungry? Let's call for takeouts." Duque said

"I'm not hungry." I said then went straight to my room.

Pagkarating ko sa kwarto ko, pabagsak akong humiga sa kama nang mapatingin ulit ako sa sugat ko. I let out a deep inwardly sigh.

BARBARA's POV

"What's wrong with Victoria?" Ford asked while looking at Victoria who was just staring blankly.

I shrugged. "I don't know. Kahapon pa siya ganyan."

"Actually simula nung umuwi siya nang may sugat ganyan na siya." Lindsay interrupted.

We all looked at Victoria and she was really quiet. I just let out a deep sigh and continued what I was doing. We were at Great Wall of China so I just continued taking pictures of the wonderful sceneries.

"Excuse me, can you take a picture of us?" I said while handing my camera to a tourist. She nodded her head so I positioned myself beside Harvey.

"Say cheese!" The woman said.

"Cheese!"

"Thank you." I said, giving the lady a smile. I looked at our picture and a sudden curve peeked from the corner of my lips.

"Barbara, give me a copy of our picture okay?" Lindsay said. I nodded my head and continued taking pictures.

VICTORIA's POV

"Hi miss."

My eyes widened and my jaw almost dropped as I  turn to the person beside me.

"Ayos ka lang?" He asked

I blinked my eyes, trying to convince myself that I was inside some sort of dream but when I reopened it, he was still in front of me.

"Ryan?" I said, a pinch of suprise and joy in my voice.
