I stared across the cafeteria dreamily. And you may ask " what would make a smart girl like felicity drool on her food?" Percy Jackson. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Mm I've heard it before. The sweet, nerdy girl falls for the good looking, popular jock, but you see he's different. Or at least that's what I've been told. Percy Jackson is the captain of the swim team, everyone likes him because of his talent but also because of his kindness. A lot of people envied him at the beginning of the school year, but now most just admire him...a lot..maybe a bit too much? I mean who are you kidding if you're a girl and don't like Percy. Unless you're not into guys (if you know what I mean) you're probably in the same position I'm in. Sitting across the lunch room staring at a certain blackhaired, sea green eyed boy wishing that he would know your name or at least talk to you.

One day later
"Hey Felicity wait up!" I shuddered and stopped in my tracks"This must be a dream, this must be a dream." I whispered to myself.
I would know that voice anywhere. Percy Jackson. The Percy Jackson. Dear mother of god what is happening to this world. I was quickly pulled from my daydream by Percy asking me something.
"Hey, umm Felicity-" he knows my name, "I was uh wondering if you could help me out with something."
"Sure, what is it?" I repositioned my backpack strap that was digging into my shoulder slowly as we both walked towards the subway station.
"My girlfriend..." I stopped and whipped my head towards him. He seemed to light up at the word girlfriend." She's moving here from out of town and I was wondering if you could help her get around the school. I think you guys would have a lot in common..." I pondered this. Percy seemed pretty genuin, about the situation so, "yeah, sure thing!"
"Well she gets here tomorrow, sooooo I guess be ready?" He shrugged his shoulders. "Mmmmm...okay." I continued walking towards the subway stop that was the route to my house and called back "see you later Percy!"
I shook my head, what have I gotten myself into.

Its hard to expect the unexpected. I tried to keep that in mind as I made my way to the front of the school. There sitting on the bench was a girl with curly blond hair, grey, stormy eyes, and a tan that was obviously acheived by sitting in the sun for hours. Next to her was none other than. Percy Jackson, playing with her hair as she tried to read her schedule. I sighed, well I guess I was dealing with a dummy. I made my way closer to them.
"Hey Percy, and you must be Percy's girlfriend?"
The girl looked up from her schedule, extended her hand and replied, "yeah, it's Annabeth by the way, Annabeth Chase, and you are?"
"Felicity Hark." I don't know if I expected something, well someone different. They were complete opposites, no other way to describe it but I could see the pain in Percy's eyes as he let go of Annabeth hand as we walked towards the science building of our school.
"So Annabeth what are your hobbies?" She looked at me from my head to my toes, not in a had way, but like she was trying to find my weak point or assess whether I was stronger than her.
"Ummm, I love reading, architecture, Greek mythology, math, history...pretty much anything based on knowledge, oh and fencing and swimming." Wow that was a mouthful.
"You know we should go to the Empire State building sometime, since youre I into architecture and all of that."
"Yeah, okay." I saw in her eyes that she had been there too many times to count.
"Or we could go somewhere else, you know if you want to." Annabeth looked at me before we entered the class room and smiled.
"I'd like that."
This was the start of my friendship between Annabeth Chase and Percy Jackson.
