Mortals Meet Percabeth

Emma Cofield PART TWO

I looked above my head and there looming was....nothing....zip....Nada. Wow so much for hope. Annabeth seemed to notice my disappointment and patted me on the shoulder. Just then we realised Ellen was still waiting outside of the entrance.

I called to her,"Ellen come on we have to get settled!" Her eyes betrayed her fear and she cautiously asked, "Does it hurt?"

"ARE YOU KIDDING ME!?" I YELLED SARCASTICALLY,"DO YOU SEE US YELLING IN PAIN?!" she nodded and slowly put her foot through the barrier, she winced and then relaxed, then just came through all together. Annabeth sighed and told us to follow her.

"Tonight, you guys might be claimed, that's the time when most of the gods are paying attention because they get offerings."

************************TIME SKIP TO DINNER!

I was about to take a bite when Annabeth wacked my hand.

"Don't eat that now, give at least a quarter to the gods!" She nodded towards the bonfire where campers had started to scrape foods off their plates. I made my way over to the giant inferno and scraped of my roast beef and mashed potatoes, then said,"hey umm, I don't really know who my godly parent is, but hey if you coukd claim me soon that would be great!" I smiled and noticed Annabeth gasp. I looked around to see people glancing at me and the Athena kids smirking. I looked up, and saw an owl like Kristen' s over my head. Daughter of Athena.

Fortunately for me and Kristen we were claimed, so we get to sleep in pur godly parent's cabin. Ellen wasn't so lucky so she has to sleep in the Hermes cabin because she's undetermined. I felt bad, she was really optimistic, but I know she'll be claimed soon.  Annabeth was explaining the rules for cabins when I heard as knock on our cabin door. An Athena camper,or my half brother named Malcomn opened it to reveal a very handsome boy that was my age.

"Hey Malcomn!" He said

"Uhhh, Annabeth mame this Sea Spawn go away!!" He groaned. Ohhh sea spawn, this must be Percy Jackson son of Posieden.

"Malcomn shut it! He's my best friends, leave him alone! Even if he is an idiot..."

"Hey!wait you just said j was your best friend?!" Percy wiggled his eyebrows. Still standing in the door way he waved at Annabeth and said good night.

"Don't worry, you'lle meet him in the morning." Annabeth mumbled groggily. "But eight now, we have to get to sleep." I glanced over Kristen splayed across her bunk in a heavy slumber. At sleepovers she was always first to fall asleep, she must be exhausted just like me. I layedmdown and dreamt of what the next day would be like.
