Chap 20

I woke up in my own bed with a post it note taped to my bedside light. I instantly knew the hand writing.

“Brook, We need to talk. Come to my house at 4:30 and ware something pretty. If you still want me gone…I’ll go. ~ Tris”

I went along with it, wanting the answers I so desperately needed. ‘Shit!’ I yelled. It was already 4. I jumped out of bed and rushed to the shower and quickly changed into a blue dress which came just above the knee. That and my cowboy boots I was ready with some light make up and left my hair to dry naturally.

I knocked on Tristan’s front door only to hear hushed voices. Tristan opened the door and went to give me a hug. I folded my arms and took a step back. ‘Hi’ I said, the tension was almost chocking me.  ‘ Come here.’ Tristan said taking my hand and leading me into the garden where there was a main stage. ‘What’s going on?’ ‘Sit’ Tristan commanded and pointed in-between the boys. I mumbled my hellos after seeing Seth wasn’t there.

Tristan re-appeared on stage holding a guitar and sang “Too close for comfort” by McFly. It brought me to tears. All this for me? It suited our situation all right. During that song I realised that I freaked out because I’m scared. I’m not sure if I could commit. Now I know for sure.

Tristan had such a husky sexy voice. It was amazing. I never wanted the song to end. Saying that I never knew what was in store afterwards…

‘Brook. I’m sorry about everything.’ He jumped off the stage throwing his guitar to Hazz. He looked like a rock star in ripped jeans and a black tight fitted t-shirt. He pulled me into a hug and walked away sitting a few sits away from me.

My full focus was on Tristan so when a voice called out my name it took a while for me to react. I turned my head to see the only and only Tom Fletcher standing where Tristan had been standing moments before. Tom Fletcher! But I was wrong with saying it was tom because it was McFly! The full four members where standing on stage with cheeky grins on their faces!

‘Hey Brook , This is for you’

They launched into their song ‘Not alone’. After they sang their comic relief song ‘You’ve got a friend’. I was starting to get the message as they played ‘ unsaid things’. They even changed the words!

“There’s a girl who lives just up the road from me,

She has the nicest legs I’ve ever seen,”

I laughed and sang along to the chours.

“I still got so many unsaid things that I wanna say,

And u just can’t wait another day,

I wish she knew,

I still wait up wondering if she were In love with me,

But theres no way for me to know.”

After that ‘She falls asleep was sung and I sat still and listened to every word.

“She falls asleep and all she thinks about is you,

When she’s asleep the air she’s breathing is for you,

And why she wants to live,

She’s not got, that much more to give.”

From where I was sitting I could see a silent tear slip down Tristans face. I sighed and stood up.

“Your climbing the stairs unaware that she’s hurting,

And lying very still on the floor by the door but its locked “

To paused as I stopped in front of Tristan. I leaned forward and kissed him.

"But he was hoping, Brook, You would come back for more!” I laughed at the change of words.

I smiled against Tristan’s lips as they sang ‘smile’. I was soon lost in Tristan and forgot everything else. That was until he finally showed up.  ‘Brook, no stop.’ He crossed the grass until he was standing by my side. He saw the bite mark. ‘Prepare to die.’ Zach said coldly as he lifted the stake.
