Genesis Rhapsodos x Reader

(Genesis 's POV)

"Genesis, what are you going to do for Christmas?" Zack asked.

"Like I would tell you what I'm planning," I replied.

Christmas was tomorrow, and all of us SOLDIERs had the holiday off. There was a big party planned, and everyone was going to attend it. I turned down the offer, being that I have a special girl to spend Christmas with.

I didn't waste any time getting home from Headquarters. I walked through the door and saw our little tree in the living room. I smelled something sweet, a cake perhaps? I walked into the small kitchen to see the (H/C) girl pulling something out of the oven.

"Do you need a hand with anything?" I asked.

She jumps and the cake slides off of the dish, crashing onto the floor.

"Ah! Genesis! I-I didn't know that you were here," she said in surprise. "You usually get off later."

"We were given the rest of the day and all of tomorrow off," I explained. "I got here as soon as I could so that I could spend time with you."

"I thought that I would make a cake for you when you got home. I am so sorry that I dropped it," she apologized.

"Don't be upset. I startled you," I said.

"I can make another one," (Y/N) said. "I'll go ahead an-"

I didn't let her finish. I placed my lips on hers and kissed her. I relished in the kiss, wrapping my arms around her waist. After a few seconds, I pulled back slightly, leaving our foreheads touching. I looked into her deep (E/C) eyes, thinking only about her. I hugged her and buried my head into her neck, holding her tightly.

(2nd person POV)

You nuzzled your head in Genesis's chest. You inhaled his scent, and wrapped your arms around his neck.

Genesis moved his head and placed a gentle kiss on your forehead.

"Do you want to watch a movie?" he asked.

"I would love to," you replied.

You both moved to the living room. Genesis set up the movie then sat down. He motioned for you to sit next to him. You scooted over, close enough to touch without being on top of him. He put his arm around you, pulling you into his chest. You closed your eyes and melted into him, falling asleep soon after.

You felt a slight shake and jolted awake.

"I didn't mean to scare you," Genesis said.

"You didn't scare me," you said, sleepily.

"The way you jumped says otherwise," Genesis replied, giving you a small peck on the cheek. "Merry Christmas, (Y/N)."

"Merry Christmas, Genesis," you said.

"I made some breakfast for us," Genesis said.

He led you to the table and pulled out a chair for you to sit in. He left and returned with some omelettes. He placed the plate in front of you with a kind smile.

"Enjoy," he said, sitting down at the other side of the table.

You both started to eat your food, pausing every now and then to talk. Once you were done, you sat down around the small Christmas tree.

"I know that it's not much, but I got this for you," you said, holding out a small box.

Genesis smiled and took the box, carefully tearing off the wrapping paper. He then lifted the lid, revealing the red tissue paper. He removed the colorful paper and eventually pulled out a small purple apple.

"(Y/N), you shouldn't have," Genesis said, pulling you into a hug.

"Of course I had to. I know that you always loved Dumbapples. I finally went to Banora and found some," you said.

"Now, you get to open my gift," Genesis said, reaching into his pocket.

He handed you a small black box. It fit perfectly in the palm of your hand. You carefully opened the box, finding a silver necklace inside. At the center of it was your birthstone. The light reflected off the the gem. You looked at Genesis, a smile forming on your face.

Genesis took the necklace in his hands, unclasping it. He reached around your neck and attached the ends.

"It looks beautiful on you," he said, giving you a hug.

"Thank you, Genesis," you said.

"Would you like to go to the Gold Saucer? I could get us a quick ride there," Genesis asked.

"I'd love to," you said.

Genesis called Reno, asking him if he could fly you across the ocean.

"He said that he'll be ready by the time we get there," Genesis said.

You both walked over to the Shin-Ra building. You took the elevator to the top, hearing the hum of the helicopter blades when you stepped out into the room. You climbed the stairs past the President's office, and walked outside.

Reno was already in the pilot's seat, waiting for you. You climbed in, and sat down. You were both handed helmets, and quickly put them on.

"Are you two ready?" Reno asked.

"Yes, thank you," Genesis answered.

The sound from the rotating blades drowned out most conversations, so you kept quiet.

When you reached the Gold Saucer, you hopped off, thanking Reno before he took off.

"Genesis, you are too good to me," you said, smiling up at him.

"Don't say that," he responded. "You're the one that's too good for me, my goddess."

"Hello, and welcome to the Gold Saucer. A single pass is 3,000 gil and a lifetime pass is 30,000 gil," the man dressed as a chocobo said.

Genesis pulled out a gold ticket and showed it to the man.

"Thank you, and have a nice day."

You and Genesis walked inside, looking at the different places you could go.

"Where would you want to go first?" he asked.

You looked at all of your options, the Gondola catching your eye.

"Genesis, can we go there first?" you asked, pointing towards the ride.

You both walked over to the ticket booth, paying for your ride. You were led to the carriage and sat down. There was a slight jerk when you started moving. You and Genesis were sitting across from each other, looking in each other's eyes, when the thundering boom of a firework startled you.

You jumped, falling out of your seat. Genesis smiled, offering you a hand. He picked you up and sat you down next to him.

"They're beautiful, aren't they?" Genesis said, looking out the window.

"Yeah," you said softly.

"But they don't compare to your beauty," he said, turning toward you.

You felt your face get really hot.

"Merry Christmas, (Y/N)," Genesis said.

"Merry Christmas, Genesis," you replied, while being engulfed in a hug.

I am sorry that this took a while to write. My internet at home has stopped working, so I have to write outside of my house. I will still take requests, I just won't be able to write them as quickly as I used to.

I have seen this before on other stories, so I thought I'd give it a shot. How old do you think I am?
