The male's dead tired eyes bore into Izuku, who just stared up with a contemplating face present. He was probably wondering how he got himself stuck in this situation. But no matter.

A "hm?" left his mouth, directed at the hero as he let his right hand move from the computer and to Kuro on his lap. Hero green eyes stayed closed as the small cat, probably a kitten, snoozed on his lap.

He took another sip of the steaming life juice and spoke a greeting, "Eraser" he curtly replied, keeping his voice low as to not wake the cat and bother the customers.

His left hand set the coffee down and he grabbed his notebooks and stuffed them in his godawful bag, colored a bright yellow that contrasted greatly with his hair. The laptop was closed next and slipped inside the bag. Glancing at the time, he would have to start his shift again soon, then he had a job for one of his old neighbors after.

"I don't have much time, my next shift is in less than fifteen minutes" he informed the hero and motioned for him to take a seat. Once everything was neatly place in his bag, he set the bag back down on the floor between his legs and put the life juice back into his hands.

Eraserhead took a seat and sighed in a dreadful manner, as if regretting taking time to talk with the "problem child." But he also seemed to be confused at why a teenager, that seemed to be younger than his students, have a job.

"I've been wanting to scold you about involving yourself with my patrol" he spoke in a tone that pictured "I don't want to be here."

A pause, and Izuku chose that oportunity to talk. "But you already know you can't do a thing about it, don't you?" He pondered his next words, "for one, there's no proof, two it was technically done in self defense of another person, and three, it can't be counted as vigilantism when you don't have a quirk"

He may or may not have messed with the cameras around them when that happened, so no video footage. Yes there's the truth of the witness' words, but what they think they saw is also the truth. And most of the witnesses were in a state of shock. So that wouldn't work.

And if he did get caught up for it. They couldn't charge him on anything. And the man sitting in front of him knew that.

It's like the male wishes to say problem child again, seeing from the look on his face. "Exactly" said the male, though his voice wasn't thrilled in the slightest.

"And you still take time to talk to me? Knowing I don't have a quirk?" Izuku himself was confused on that part, why would someone willingly look for him after finding out he was a useless nobody who didn't deserve to live?

His words seemed to shock the adult, while Izuku being unfazed, takes another sip of his drink. The comfort of Kuro purring on his lap keeps him from going into an in-depth explaination.

"Why would I not try to find you?" Counters Eraserhead, confused by Izuku's question. And the teen doesn't know how to answer that question well.

"Well.." He paused, trying to think, "most people, once they learn I'm quirkleds, avoid me like the plague, or beat me up for the cards I was given" it was odd how he could speak those words so easily.

He definitely wasn't normal if he thought that people avoiding or hurting you is the only thing that he was going to get in life when people learned. But what can you say.

It takes a few moments for the hero to speak, "kid, quirks aren't everything" the male starts, and Izuku knows that, but try telling everyone else. Hell, even All Might thinks a quirk makes a person useful. At least in the hero business.

"I basically fight quirkless, just evening the playing fields" that was true, he knew it was true, but it still made him question why people would care.

They never do.

So why was this hero caring? It was odd to him, someone besides his mom caring about his well-being. Well, she more of treats him like glass, and he now has Mei and Neito.

"I know, but people don't care about that" the words instinctively leave his mouth after the hero seems to be done talking.

His eyes trail to the clock and he sighs. "Sorry, this conversation needs to be cut short, and I won't be available after either" he informed the male.

But before he stood up, he set the black cat neatly in the warmth of where he sat and put the bag on his back. "And please don't bother asking my mom anything, I keep things from her for a reason and I wouldn't want you ruining that"

With those words and a serious stare, he walks to the staff room and opens the door, walking inside. He expected Kuro to sleep more, but she padded after him, making him place her on his mess of curls.

Eraserhead stayed seated for a moment, contemplating the words that were said. He knew it was bad for people with weak and villainous quirks. But he never got to hear anything for the quirkless population. It was like they never existed.

And he didn't like the fact that the teen seemed to have been forced to grow up faster than most. Not to mention that the suicide rate for quirkless kept rising and rising.

He just hoped this kid would push through what Kami throws onto him.

Good luck problem child.

And with that, the hero left the cafe with a black coffee to go.
