This week contains July 4th. Which also means that it has been 2 years exactly since this book got finished.
I'll cut to the chase (no pun intended). I gotta be honest.
I hate it.
Rereading my 2017-2018 writing style is so cringeworthy it's irritating! I'd rather listen to one of Monokuma's karaoke nights than read this a third time.
And the cherry on top of it all is the ending.
What was that? I mean come on, Trevor Chase turning into some ripped Monokuma looking mutant?!
Everyone's bodies reverting to teenagers?! Give me a break.
Still, I cannot deny that these two books are some of my most successful and there is a fanbase for these things, and it was fun to write these and it never felt like a chore.
So, why not give this story the sendoff that it deserves.
So, for a special 4th of July gift for you all... It's about time I sit down and rewrite this lackluster ending. THIS TIME without it being a rushed cringefest.
