Nova

I held my breath as the doctor poked the needle, connected to a syringe, into my skin. He injected the liquid into my arm and then slowly, pulled the shot back out. I released the breath I was holding.

"You did very good...Um..." The doctor looked down at his notes and then back at me. "Nova."

I smiled and said, "Thanks, doc." The doctor chuckled and glanced at the corner of the ceiling. I followed his gaze and saw a security camera. I wonder what it would be like to be watched all the time... I shuddered.

"Well, you are free to go," The doctor said as he opened the door. I walked out of the door and—

Iniko stood in front of me. "Iniko?" I asked. "What are you doing here?"

"Oh, I was going to check in with your mom about the sleepover..."

"Iniko! Why is the sleepover so important to you?" I asked. "Are you okay?"

"Yes, I'm fine! The sleepover it just apart of the—"

My mom ran over and clamped Iniko's mouth shut with her hand. I stared wide eyed. "Is everything okay?" I asked slowly. My mom and Iniko looked at me and froze. My mom still had her hand on Iniko's mouth. They looked at each other and then back at me.

My mom said, "Yes, everything is fine. It's just... um... we were planning a surprise party at Iniko's house for you." My mom removed her hand from Iniko's face and glared at Iniko. Iniko looked confused and then nodded.

"A surprise party. That's right... because the school prom is next week," Iniko said as she bit her lip.

"Okay..." I said. "Well, I'll go home and pack then..."

My mom nodded immediately and ushered me out of the hospital. She shoved my into her car.

"Mom, what is—"

"Nothing," My mom claimed as she sat down in the driver's seat. She gave me a smile and then stepped on the gas petal, driving away from the hospital.

Xavior

I laughed as I made my way out of the palace and into the alley behind it. I was out of breath from running away from the guards. As the prince of England, I had to be protected by them all the time. I mean, it feels like I am being watched all the time. I looked around the alley and turned the corner and... there was my guard right there.

"You look tired," I said. I started laughing as my guard snatched my wrist and dragged me back into the palace. My mother, Queen Elizabeth of England, greeted my inside. My father was right next to her. I groaned.

"Where did you go?" My mother asked.

"Just took a little walk... needed some fresh air. So... that was a good walk, so I'm going to go now, love you, bye!" I said as I ripped my wrist out of my guard's grip and ran up the stairs into my room. I quickly locked the door. And pulled a notebook out of my desk drawer. I reviewed my notes I scribbled down.

I. Forgotten birth certificate at hospital check-up (Either ways I'm the son of Queen Elizabeth)

II. Guards always watching me...

III. Feeling of being watched...
