Eureka's POV

AROUND THE FOREST, cold and lost. Magkakasama pa rin kaming pito; ako, sila Ele, Neil, Suzy, Genesis, at ang dalawang mga bago naming kaibigan. The scout rangers, Mr. Landers and Zharina.

Nagtatayugang mga puno pa rin ang nakapalibot sa amin. There's no other sound but the nature's voice whispering to us. Flock of birds flew across the sky, green leaves from trees were shedding us from the sun's golden rays. And as we walked further, our steps crunched due to these dried leaflets and twigs along the undetermined pathway. Medyo naging kumplikado na rin ang mga pasikot-sikot sa kagubatang ito. There were times when we passed through downhill or uphill slopes. Sometimes the path becomes slippery and we must be alert, so that we'll avoid injury or any harm.

"Grabe! Kapagod," angal ni Suzy sabay punas ng pawis sa kaniyang noo.

Nginisihan naman siya ni Neil. "Ano? Kaya pa? Pwede ka namang magpabuhat sa'kin kung gusto mo?"

"Yuck! No, thanks." Umirap si Suz at muling nagpatuloy sa pagbabagatas.

Tawang-tawa si Neil at halatang nage-enjoy sa pang-aasar n'ya sa kasamahan namin. Ngumiwi na lang ako, gano'n din si Gen. Napangiti si Zharina. Tahimik lang si Ele, habang nangunguna sa aming grupo si Mr. Landers.

Hindi kinatagalan, pumatak ang dilim at narito pa rin kami sa loob ng masukal na kagubatan. Kaya naman, napagdesisyunan namin na huminto muna dahil delikado ang maggala sa gubat nang gan'tong oras. Gumawa kami ng improvise shelter sa tabi ng malaking ugat ng isang higanteng puno. The boys collected woods and twigs to build tent. Us, girls, collected also woods and twigs to build a bonfire.

Hindi gano'n kaganda ang nagawa nilang tent, pero kasya naman kaming pito at mukhang matibay. Several woods support the tent's body and a white fabric was laid at the top as the tent's roof. Tapos no'n, umupo kami nang paikot sa bonfire at nagkwentuhan. We talked about ourselves, then the conversation went to conspiracies until it went to horror stories. It was so, so random but it just felt light, like we're literally enjoying one's own company.

"They made an eye contact and then the clown... jumped onto the victim!" Neil shouted.

"KYAAAH!" napatili si Suzy, sabay yakap sa braso ko. Halos maiyak ito sa takot. "AYOKO NAAA! TIME OUT NA SA HORROR STORIES! TIME OUT! NAAA!"

"PFFT--! WAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!"  Halos mamatay naman katatawa sina Neil at Genesis. Trip talaga ng dalawang iyon asarin si Suzy. Nakangisi naman si Ele, habang pinapakalma naming dalawa ni Zharina si Suz.

Mr. Landers just shook his head and he stood up. "Well, we should take a rest, kiddos. The night's gone deep. It's time to sleep. Wow, that rhymes. Haha!"

Tumango kaming mga mas bata upang sumang-ayon sa sinabi ng nakatatanda. Pinatay na namin ang bonfire. At, ayun na nga, nagkumpulan kami sa loob ng tent na parang sardinas sa loob ng lata Eksakto lamang ito para sa aming pito. Magkakatabi.
