Season 5 spoilers ahead, just a heads up!

"Wait! Uraraka please stop running so that I can properly explain to you about the situation regarding Toga!"

It was no use, Ochako had escaped my sight and I couldn't figure out which way she went. I decided to start my search by searching the dorms but before I could take another step I felt a tug at my sleeve and when I looked behind me I was met by the sight of Himiko and... Asui?

Himiko had a worried and sad expression on her face while Asui had her normal everyday expression.

"Midoryia If your looking for Ochako I think I know where she might be heading towards."

"Really thanks a lot, where is she?"

"She's-"

Before she could get another word out Himiko suddenly interrupted.

"Hang on a second. Izuku why do you care about finding her? I mean she clearly doesn't like me or even wants to give me a chance... which I pretty much expected from at least some people when I first decided to enroll here. We should just leave her alone, I can tell by the way she was talking that she will never come around so you should stop wasting your time on her and-"

"It's not a waste of time!"

Himiko flinched for a second from my sudden out burst and Asui gave a surprised "ribbit".

"I... I'm sorry."

Those were the last words that Deku said to me before he took off running again, leaving me alone with this weird frog girl. I remember her from that time when we kidnapped that blonde kid with the anger issues.

With an annoyed and sad tone of voice I muttered out loud.

"Well... I don't want to get in trouble for ditching class on my first day so I'm going to go back. Deku could spend an eternity trying to convince her to accept me but I've met plenty of people like her before. She won't be changing her outlook on me any time soon. They never do."

"Please don't hate them for their actions. Ribbit."

I stopped in my tracks and looked straight at her with a puzzled expression.

"It's just that Ochako and Midoryia have been friends since the start of the school year and they've gone through a couple of real world villain encounters together. They've been there to see each other grow and mature and I'm pretty sure they had feelings for each other as well."

"She probably will come around eventually, you just have to give her some time. Especially since you and her had an encounter during the training camp trip."

"And why do you seem to be so casual around me? You were there as well right? When I was pinned down to the ground by her. I remember I was able to cut you up a little as well."

"Yeah but I don't take it personally. After all you've gone as far as to enroll here and if Midoryia himself can vouch for you, then I will choose to believe in you as well. Ribbit."

That caught me a little of guard I wasn't expecting that type of response. I don't think anyone has ever spoken to me like that before.

"Wait... you believe in me? Like you believe that I could become a hero too?"

"I do."

"You do know I've killed a lot of people right?"

"Yeah I figured, but I don't like to judge others by their past mistakes. I'd rather judge them by what they're doing in the present based on what they learned from their mistakes."
