Once I had made it safely away from the school and made sure that I wasn't being followed I pulled out my phone and called Dabi.
"Tomura, why did you talk to Toga like that? I thought you said you were just going to check up on her. And instead you end up threatening her life?"
"I don't appreciate you eavesdropping on our conversation Dabi."
"What are you planning Tomura?"
"Nothing. I just noticed something different about her, so I needed to make sure that she felt like she could never come back to us."
"What do you mean? What did you notice about her?"
"Her eyes... they were filled with desire... the desire to live."
"The desire to live?"
"Exactly. She never had that when she was with us."
"Like you mentioned earlier Dabi, originally I was just going to see if she was okay, but she was more than just okay. She was happy and she looked like she was finally living with a true sense of purpose."
"You do realize that now we are short one person now, right?"
"Don't worry about it Dabi. Toga's role can be filled by some one else. From this point on ward, she has nothing to do with us. We don't know anyone named Himiko Toga."
"What should I tell Twice?"
"I'll tell him myself, don't worry about him. I'm heading back to our hideout."
I hung up the phone and started to think to myself.
Toga... I'm glad you were able to find your happiness away from this world. Don't ever turn away from it. Because If you do, you will truly be alone.
