Lies.

All lies.

You're never going to be trusted by them, Janus. Why are you still trying to earn their trust? They pity you. Well...most of them do. Others know you as the villain you are. Or..that I am... Face it. Sure, I let you in control... But do you think that's going to last forever? No. First Virgil, then Roman...and lastly... You. You aren't going to get away from deceit. And so...~ Consider this my one and only warning. Don't fight me. When I visit, don't resist me. This is more than "helping Thomas with self care." No, it's all about power and control now. Paranoia and Romulus couldn't agree more with me.

Oh, and don't mention this to anyone... Tell them I talked with you...and I won't hesitate to kill them all. I don't care if Thomas dies on the inside. I'm selfish, what did you expect?

It's all lies, Janus~

You're a lie~

"Janus? Janus, wake up!"

"Wha- huh-?" Janus asked, sleepily, his voice muffled from under his hat. He straightened up in his chair and moved his hat back to the top of his head, yawning. He tried to process everything that happened in his dream, still in utter shock by what Damion told him...

Remus was staring at him as if he has a second head or something. But then again, that wouldn't bother Remus much. In fact he probably would like it.

"You okay, Double Dee? You were mumbling in your sleep...and you seemed to be having a nightmare..."

"Oh...yes, I'm alright, Remus. Thank you for the concern, but I'm fine."

So he couldn't help but lie. He had to...he didn't want Damion hurting the others...

"Okay, that's good..." Remus seemed like he wanted to say something, but whatever it was, he seemed to push it aside. "The others are downstairs. They called for us a while ago. We better get down there before Patton drags us down himself."

Both of them laughed whole-heartedly for a few minutes, and it got quiet once again. Remus' smile turned into a worried, concerned look. "Jay?"

"Yes?"

"I'm worried...for Ro...this is really bad, especially for Romulus to show up like that...what are we gonna do?"

Janus put a gloved hand on Remus' shoulder, smiling sympathetically. "We're never going to get him back-"

Remus looked up at him, brows furrowed. "Gee thanks. Feeling much better now."

Janus seemed very confused. "Wait, no...That's not what I meant... I meant to say "We're going to get him back..." I don't know why I lied all of a sudden..."

"Maybe Damion is trying to be a butthole."

A chuckle. "That's always possible."

He rolls his eyes as he makes his way to the Light Scape, into the Mind Palace. He sipped his coffee, strutting up to the living room. He didn't know why he was called by Patton, but he apparently wasn't the only one who was called.

Remy sighed as he whipped out his phone, snapping a picture of himself to put on Insta, later on. He hears footsteps coming closer so he looks up, seeing Patton and Virgil walking over to him.

"Hey Rem, what's up?" Virgil asked, shoving his hands in his hoodie pockets.

"Not much gurl. Like, Adrian and Andre are always getting into petty fights and Isaac is always constantly annoying Braxton and Emerson like you wouldn't believe- oh and Zane is being his usual depressing self. But they all moved to their own sides of Thomas's mind so we won't see them for a while, probs. What about you beautiful bitches?"

"Language!"

"Sorry dad, but you're not my dad. But I'm sure Logan over there would love to call you daddy. Just saying. The Fanders ship you two for a reason."

"Uh-o-okay then moving on!" Patton said quickly, looking away from the sassy sleep boy, and to Virgil, who wore a smirk on his face. "You have no room to talk, Mr- "Aw you think I'm hot" prince lover!"

"PaTtOn shUt uP-"

"Oh no, please keep going. This is amusing," Remy smirked, sipping his coffee once more.

"I mean, I saw your browser history a couple weeks ago, and-"

"PATTON. SHUT. YOUR. TRAP."

Patton then starts quoting some of the searches he remembered reading. "Prinxiety images. Virgil x Roman. Roman Sanders. How to make a prince love you-"

"OKAY. 👏 WE. 👏 GET. 👏 IT. 👏 I. 👏 LOVE. 👏 HIM. 👏"

"Knew it all along," Janus said, walking down the stairs, dragging the Rat Man behind him.

"Yeah we know. We've heard you two at night. You're bad at trying to sneak into his room by the way. We all know you wanna fu-" Remus started, but Janus slapped a hand over his mouth. Remus just bit his hand, earning a yelp from the snake.

Virgil was a shade redder now. He looked like he was going to commit homicide. "That's not true! I don't do that! I just go there to talk and hang out with him...Nothing more, you perv."

"Anyway, where's Professor Know-It-All anyway?" Remus asked.

"Logan went to grab Emile. He thought that some extra help to stop Romulus would be smart. That's why we got Remy," Virgil explained.

"Hello Remy. It's terrible to see you- UGH- I mean it's good to see you-" Janus said, exasperated. He honestly didn't know why he was lying again...

Remy frowned at him in confusion before slightly nodding. "Good...to see you too...? I think?"

A few moments later, Logan walked into the living room with a familiar Cartoon Therapist next to him. Logan seemed to be explaining their situation to him.

"Hey babe! I missed you!" Remy sassily strutted over to Emile, his usual smirk on his face. Emile just smiled in return and the two hugged.

"Remy! Oh, it's been forever! I missed you too!" Emile replied, his smile brighter than ever. When the two released, they turned to the group. "Logan explained everything to me. I understand our situation. Does anyone have a plan?"

"Well, yes. Of sorts. You see, Romulus is still in the Imagination. He can create a portal to come here, but he and Roman both are the strongest when they're inside their biggest creation. He wants us to go back in there blind and attack us when our guard is down. However, we are going to plan this a step ahead of him," Logan paused, meeting everyone's gaze. "Stop me if you don't understand something. Anyways, we will split up in groups of two. One group will have three. He won't expect us to be dumb enough to split up, so that's our best option. While we're split up, Remus, I want you to try and connect with Roman with that empathy link you both have. But while you do it, don't give any information on where you and your partner will be, for Romulus might hear and harm you."

Remus nods in understanding, his gaze more determined than ever.

"Alright, group one will be Patton and Emile. Both of you are empaths and moral in some way, so I want you to try and convince Romulus to take off the crown when you encounter him. Some effort is better than none.

"Group two will be Remus and Virgil. Like I said, Remus, try and connect with Roman. Virgil, I want you to try and help Remus the most you can. Got it? Good.

"And the last group will me Remy, Janus, and myself. We will look for Paranoia and get answers out of him. If Romulus is out there, Paranoia isn't going to be too far behind."

"Well," Patton started, looking at the portal Remus just then created. "Let's do this..."

"Yeah," Virgil gave a weak smile. "We're coming, Princey..."

"We're coming..."

"Oh, I have no doubt you're coming, Edge Lord... But will you stop me? No. They think they're a step ahead of me...but I'm really a step ahead of them... Idiots."
