Riley was still at the children's ward, as they hadn't turned eighteen, yet, but was someone that Blue had grown close with, the past few months. They were a bubbly type of person, always making Blue laugh without trying so hard.
Blue made his way towards the children's ward, looking for room 476, where he could hear a familiar voice say something, earning a laugh from Riley.
"Hey Riles!" Blue smiled, opening the door, before stopping in his tracks, completely astonished.
"You're the new nurse?!" Blue was met with the honey brown eyes he never thought he'd see again.
"Blue." Levi's voice was low, staring into dark brown eyes.
"Do they know about your past? How you beat that one kid up for being gay? Because, I'm sure if they knew about that, they wouldn't hire you to be around Riley, or myself." Blue's voice was vile, spitting out his words at the nurse.
"I'm here because of that, Blue. I'm here to apologize and because of community service." Levi replied, his eyes never leaving the dark brown ones he missed.
It had been quite a roller-coaster of a life, since his ex had been diagnosed; Levi was always so carefree and friendly, but the moment Blue was brought in for his first check up, Levi could feel himself slowly change into someone unrecognizable, hanging out with a new crowd, and getting into constant trouble.
It was when Blue had found him in bed, utterly high off something that was injected into him, that the younger boy had no choice but to break things off.
"So, you're around us, to prove you can be human?" Blue chuckled, his eyes averting their gaze to the boy in the bed, witnessing their spat.
"Blue, I fucked up-"
"No, Levi, you are fucked up." Blue cut him off, getting in his face.
"Im gonna go to the bathroom..." The green haired seventeen year old mumbled, getting out of bed, and heading out of the room full of tension.
"A twenty year old nurse with a mind of a ten year old..." Blue chuckled to himself, nodding to Riley, as they walked out.
"Have you ever done anything outside of character?" Levi questioned, dismissing what the younger boy had said.
"Why would I want to be someone else?" Blue countered, raising a brow at the person standing before him.
"Maybe, you want a break from being the good guy. I needed it, and maybe you need it, too." Levi explained, earning him a shaking of the head.
"And what? Be like you?"
"Maybe what you need is a bit of me inside you." He spoke, their lips centimeters from one another.
"Maybe I need to get away from you." Blue responded, his mind and legs not connecting.
"I miss you, Blue. You were the only right choice I made in this damn life."
"Was that before or after you let Lyle and company photoshop pictures of me as a girl onto the school website?" Blue could feel tears threaten to fall, as his heart was once again, breaking.
"I was dumb, B."
"And I can't fault you for that, Levi, since I can't fix stupid. But, what I can do is choose to stay far away from you."
He attempted to move away, when those plump, pink lips he swore to himself he would never taste again, attached themselves to his own.
"Don't ever touch me, again." Blue pushed him off, his mind scattered with surreal thoughts.
"Blue-"
"You told me I was insane for loving you, and you're right, I was. And now, I've become sane."
"I still love you."
"You told Kathy the same thing last month. Or, did you forget that Tanner and I are still close?"
"Tanner is a liar. You even told me that."
"Tanner has never lied to me."
"Oh really? What about the time he told you I cheated with Victor?"
"He-"
"Face it, Blue, you believe I still love you, because you love me, too, but being the good guy doesn't let you, because that would mean that you would forgive me for the shit I did." Levi spoke, watching Blue's eyes face the floor.
"I don't-"
"Look at me in the eye, when you lie to me." Levi smirked, lifting the other boy's chin so their eyes met.
"I don't love you." Blue replied, his eyes darting every which way, other than in those honey brown eyes.
"Thought so." Levi chuckled, as his phone went off.
