The following morning (y/n) went back to his store alone, as it would be weird to have Cepos walk out of his apartment with him. Unlocking and locking the doors, he went into the kitchens, placing his hand on a bare wall. Where a copy of the golden door in his apartment appeared, acting almost like a portal for Cepos to come out of. It was extremely convenient, and also hid Cepos' identity from public view for the time being.

Seeing the state of the bakery, or the blank slate at that, Cepos understood why (y/n) felt lost in the first place. There was nothing in the store, besides the already built-in furniture, but that in itself was nothing. The front area where customers were supposed to be in, was empty and bare, raw-looking. The walls were stripped of anything that was on it, and the floor was simple, grey concrete. In the kitchen, it was no better, besides the steel counters and a fridge that seemed to be in working order, everything else had to be replaced.

After inspecting every corner of the store, Cepos covered the windows and doors with curtains, before beginning the transformation. He didn't have enough power to completely alter and decorate the entire store, but he could at least make it look simplistic, instead of run down and abandoned.

"This might take a while, so bear with me. While I'm renovating the entrance, why don't you start working on your grandmother's white bread recipe? Just make it how you did yesterday, then I'll tell you where you need to work on. Oh, also, try not to look at the entrance, magic can a bit... blinding." Cepos warned (y/n). With the golden door, (y/n) was able to walk to and fro from his apartment and the store at ease. Bring everything he needed and the recipe book, while Cepos did his magic.

Inside the alternate realm was nothing, really, just a long, blank hallway with two other doors. One being Cepos' presumed bedroom, and the door that led to (y/n)'s apartment. While comparing the two doors, (y/n) noticed how the doors that led to the "outside" world was more ornate and were made out of gold. While the doors that were stationed inside the realm were simplistic, with tiny details to define whose room it belonged to. Or that's what (y/n) at least came to the conclusion on.

It took roughly, four trips to move what he needed to the store. From ingredients to tools, and sanitizer. He didn't own a stand mixer, which meant that he'll need to put in some extra arm muscle when kneading. On his fourth trip back to the store, he found that Cepos had renovated the kitchen. Everything was still made out stainless steel, but besides that, it did feel a bit warmer now, than previously. Since the walls had been painted with a soft, creamy white color, and the tiled flooring was recolored a light, medium grey. When matched with the clean, cold white light from above, it didn't feel needlessly cold.

But just because the area had been renovated, didn't mean it was clean. Moving the ingredients aside, (y/n) started to clean section by section. Disassembling the stove and parts of the fridge and oven in order to make sure, himself, that everything was clean and sanitized to perfection. Getting into a lawsuit because someone fell ill due to lack of sanitization in the kitchen, was the last thing (y/n) could afford at the moment, or even ever.

Cases like those will always follow the business, from one year to even 50, just because it occurred, and will make people lose trust. So in order to make sure that never happens, (y/n) made sure to clean, EVERYTHING.

Cepos' pov

Alright, so I have the walls painted in an eggshell, white color, with white paneling on the bottom half. The concrete floor is still the same, but nevermind that. The popcorn ceiling has been turned smooth, trim has been added, now on to furniture. What wood would be good? Pine? Oak? Hmm, a dark solid wood should be suitable for the furniture. Hmm...

Searching through the different wood options, I settled for black walnut wood, that had been smoothed and rounded at the edges. Both the chairs and the tables' legs had been dipped into gold at the bottom, making them feel a little bit more luxurious. Although that's all I could really do with my limited powers.

I added some counters, display cases, shelving, and a cash register. While the curtains I have placed were only temporary, the muted, grass green, linen color fittingly matched the space, so using some brown rope to tie them. I brought in some needed sunlight into the now furnished entrance. Now, onto the restrooms, storage, and smaller rooms. Those will be a lot easier, and less stressful to renovate.

Sighing, I glanced back at the kitchen, where I had already renovated for (y/n). But seeing him diligently clean everything was rather, moving. Not wanting to bother him, I went to the restrooms to see what the situation in them was. Hopefully, there's nothing gross in them.
