"Amma am heading to the park" I said.
"Alright, go with the driver".
"Okay, bye".
"Bye Hadiya" I waved at my sister.
I decided to take a walk at the park to calm myself down, I have been left behind in all school and islamiyyah activities.
I need to catch up so Amma won't make me repeat the class or the school.
I was in my pink bubu with a milk veil roughly wrapped around my head.I folded my arms walking round the park seeing people happy made me happy.
"Halima!" A voice called out from behind.
I turned to see who it was.
Kahlid and Aysar!?.
"Hey guys" I waved trying not to act surprised but my eyes were telling I was really surprised.
"How are you?" Khalid asked.
"Am good".
" Yes, she looks good!"Aysar said sipping something that seems to be a chocolate drink.
My favorite.
"Yes" I said laughing.
"You know each...".
"He is my cousin" Aysar said interrupting.
"Oh okay".
Aysar is Niddiya cousin's cousin!.
We sat down on a table of three by a tree.
" So, how is school?" Khalid asked
"Fine" I replied putting a smile on my face.
We chatted for long and played rock paper scissors which I hate playing with my sister because she always won.
"I got you!" Aysar shouted.
I smiled and said" Yes I can't play".
Aysar an Khalid really made my day.I went back home around noon really tired and happy.
"Amma, am back"
"Good day"
"Welcome" Amma said.
I went up to my room and took a quick bath, did my assignment.I really need to move on Niddiya would like that too. I thought to myself. I got 5 out of 10 in my test that's really bad and I can't let Amma notice that.
I have to move on, she is gone forever. But how can I every good memory of mine is with her, its about her and for her."Good night yaya Halima" my sister said at the other side of the room on her bed.
"Good night sweety".
" please go to sleep and pray" she said in her little American accent.
Their school was the the best school in Kaduna, they go to America for trips and excursions and thought different languages in their accent.
"Yes I will".
" Good night ".
