Telling Mom And Dad

Cody's point of view

After a horrible day of being bullied by Ethan pretty much the whole day I'm finally leaving school. Both me and Jayden waited for Sophia outside on the steps, sure enough Sophia came to us.

Sophia: "Hey Cody, hey Jayden"

Cody: "Hey sis"

Jayden: "Hey Sophia"

We were all walking down the stairs and got near enough to the bottom when all of a sudden I got shoved down. I fell down the last few steps and when I looked up I saw Ethan and his friends standing next to Sophia and Jayden. I quickly got up and brushed myself off before I went over to Ethan and shoved him hard.

Ethan: "oh so you want to start with me Cody, go ahead give me your best shot... You're a loser too just like your dad"

I went to shove Ethan again when he shoved me back and I fell to the ground again and then he started hitting me.

Sophia: "Get off of him!"

Both Sophia and Jayden was trying to get Ethan off of me but Ethan's friends kept pushing them away. I tried to hit Ethan and even kick him but he kept blocking me. Ethan was just about to hit me again when I felt someone push him away from me and helped me up.... It was my dad.

Zak: "if you dare touch my son and daughter EVER again I'm going to get you into some serious trouble. You understand!!"

Ethan: "yes sir".

Zak: "good, now all of you get out of my sight"

Jay: "you OK son, did they hurt you?"

Jayden: "no dad I'm OK"

Sophia: "dad... Cody's not going to be in trouble is he?"

I saw dad wrap his arm around Sophia and brought her into a hug.

Zak: "no sweetie Cody's not in any trouble"

Cody: "dad...I'm sorry"

Zak: "Hey look at me, it's not your fault son, you didn't start the fight"

I can feel tears starting to build up in my eyes.

Zak: "aww Cody come here"

Then my dad wrapped his arms around me and gave me a hug.

Zak: "everything's going to be OK... I promise"

Then dad quickly kissed the top of my head before we all got into the car. On the way home me, Sophia and Jayden remained quiet whilst our dad's were sitting in the front. I know I didn't start any of the fights but I'm nervous what mom will say to me. I know she won't tell me off or anything but she'll be hurt why I didn't say anything to her.

Sure enough we was pulling up on the drive and going inside the house. Me and Sophia took off our shoes and put our bags and coats away whilst dad and uncle Jay went to mom and auntie Morgan.

Amber: "Jayden!"

Jayden: "Hey Amber"

That's our slightly younger cousin and Jayden's sister Amber. She's so sweet but sometimes can be so annoying, but thankfully Sophia and Amber hang around with each other so me and Jayden get time to ourselves.

As our parents were talking me, Sophia, Jayden and Amber watched some TV in the other room.

Zak's point of view

Finally we got home after a very eventful afternoon school run, I have to admit seeing that kid Ethan hurting my son made my blood boil, if I see him hurt Cody or even touch Sophia again he's going to be in so much trouble.

As me and Jay was walking through to join Catherine (y/n) and Morgan in the kitchen I let the kids watch some TV before we needed to have a talk with them.

Catherine (y/n): "Hey baby everything OK, Where's the kids?"

Zak: "they're just sitting in the living room watching TV a minute, baby I need to tell you something"

Catherine (y/n): "what's going on Zak, you're worrying me"

Zak: "just sit down please"

I can see Catherine (y/n) starting to panic but I had to get her to sit down otherwise she's going to end up extremely angry. She's gonna end up the same way when I tell her but at least if she's sat down I can try to calm her down.

Zak: "don't panic baby the kids are fine, it's just during pick up there was a incident with Cody"

Catherine (y/n): "what happened.. Is he OK?"

Zak: "he will be, I saw a kid from his class harming him"

The look on Catherine's (y/n) eyes meant one thing she was ready to kill or even do serious harm. I needed her to remain calm but right now that is easier said than done.

Catherine (y/n): "Cody can you come in here please!"

Within another minute Cody was slowly walking into the kitchen.

Catherine (y/n): "Cody who's this kid that harmed you?"

I can see Cody was nervous to tell us what this kids name is, but he needs to tell us. We both gave him some encouragement and then he started to tell us who this kid was and what he has been saying and doing.

Cody: "his name is Ethan Harding, I didn't start any argument or anything but he's been horrible to me and Jayden. He's even been saying some horrible things about you, dad, uncle Jay, uncle Billy and uncle Aaron"

Hearing everything Cody was telling us shocked me, I couldn't believe that some 16 year old kid was even saying some horrible stuff about a group of adults. What ticked me off that it was about all of us, if that wasn't bad enough he was bullying My son because of who his parents and family are. I was way beyond mad... I was pissed off.

Catherine (y/n): "I'm so glad you told us Cody but why didn't you say anything to us sooner"

Cody: "I don't know, but I promise you I was going to tell you both soon"

Without another word Catherine (y/n) pulled Cody in for a hug and comforted him. Catherine (y/n) has always been very protective of Cody and Sophia but seeing her supporting our son during his time of need really goes to show she is way more protective than we both thought.

I even went over to Cody and comfort him and promised him everything will be OK.

Zak: "everything will be OK Cody, we'll get you through this... I promise"
