"I'll find you." he promised, and slowly, as if he didn't want to leave her proximity, he left and talked with a few friends.
She just managed to drink a glass of water, before he took her hand and lead her to his music room, so they had some peace.
"You sure you wanna do this?" he asked and held a sachet with a tiny paper in it.
"There's just one."
"I'll look after you this time. You drank fairly bit." he explained and grinned. "And I don't need that, don't worry."
"Will you keep me safe?" she asked, right now she wasn't really sure, if this is a good idea.
"Don't do it, if you don't trust me." he replied. She took a deep breath and placed the paper on her tongue, she saw some people do it tonight already. Roger leaned to her and kissed her temple.
"What's going to happen now?"
"That depends. I hear music intensely, actually feel it, like a touch, taste it."
He watched her, as the drug kicked in. Her legs started to move, in a moment she was tapping her thighs.
"So?"
"Let's dance!" She jumped on her feet, took his hand and pulled him out of the room.
"That was fast!" somebody shouted at them, but they ignored it. They just danced for a while, before Roger pulled her closer.
"How are you?" he asked. She looked at him in awe, like it was the first time in her live she sees him. "What?"
She put her hands around his neck and slowed down.
"Talk to me." she bid him. He lowered his lips to her ear.
"What do you want to hear, princess?"
She whined to his shoulder, she wasn't sure if it's the drug or his voice, but she was immediately turned on.
"Do you want to hear everything I want to say to you, but I know you would underrate it? How beautiful you are? How your skin tastes? How you smell amazing? Do you want to hear, what I want to do to you?" he asked, heard her moan and felt her fingers press against his skin. "Tell me, what do you feel."
"You." she breathed. "Absolutely. I feel your taste, your voice on my skin, you're like... light blue silk and salted caramel. I want to... need...you to touch me."
"I'm doing that." To prove his point, he stroke her back, but she shook her head.
"Not enough."
He straighten up, to take her some place private, but she staggered.
"Jo, are you alright?"
"No." she mumbled and opened her eyes, only to close them again and covered them with her hands.
"What's going on, talk to me."
"It's wasps... Do you hear it?" she asked and looked around the ceiling.
"Come on, let's get out." he decided, took her by her shoulder and led her out.
"You alright?" Freddie stopped them.
"For now." Roger nodded. They went to his garden, it was cold, but Roger hoped it'd help Josie calm down.
"What's going on?" she mumbled. They sat on the bench and he hugged her tightly.
"It's alright, Jo, everything's okay. There's nothing here, it's just the drug."
"Are we being watched?" She asked tearfully.
"No, it's just the two of us, don't you worry." he soothed her.
"Do not let them take me." she sobbed. He frowned. This wasn't first bad trip he witnessed and paranoia wasn't uncommon, but he didn't expected it with her.
"You'll stay here with me, don't worry. I won' let anybody hurt you." he promised. The cold was starting to get into his bones, so he hugged her firmly, so she would't get chilled.
"Sakra..." she cursed in her native tongue. "Promiň."
"It's alrigh, it'll pass." He continued, he regretted he doesn't know a single word in Czech, maybe he could reach out to her better. He heard the door clack, fortunately she didn't notice.
"How is she?"
"Not good."
"You want to bring something? Or maybe I could replace you."
"Just maybe some water. Or tea. And a coat, please. Maybe start to end it inside, get them out."
"Já za to nemůžu." she sobbed. Freddie raised his eyebrows, Roger only shrugged.
"You're safe." he said to her. Soon Mary was with them and brought a glass of water and Roger's coat.
"Fred's throwing them out. Did you really think this was a good idea, Rog?" Mary critized. He rolled his eyes.
"She wanted to. It was fine at first."
"I know her for one evening and I know she's no alright." Mary replied.
"Jo, come on, drink it." Roger turned his attention back to Josie.
"She's falling asleep, you should get her someplace warm. Really, Rog, I thought you're more mature."
"Leave me be, Mary." Roger brushed her off and carefully woke up Josie. "Come on, princess, drink this."
"What's that?" she rapped out, at least in English.
"It's just water, it'll do you better, don't worry." He assured her. She drank the glass, he left it on the table and made Josie got up.
"Let's go in, come on."
She made few steps on her own, before quivering.
"Are you here?"
"Of course." he assured her, put arm around her waist. Freddie already marched people out, Roger lead Josie to his bedroom.
"We'll stay here." Freddie said, and Roger looked back at him and nodded with a grateful smile. He took her shoes of and laid her to the bed in her dress, he covered her conscientiously.
"I'm sorry. Mary was right." he whispered, but she was already off.
