Chapter 13: No chance, no way

Y/N's P.O.V

I kissed him! Why did I do that?! Why did he kiss me?! After he kissed me I felt like giving him a less innocent kiss! I can't like-like Varian, he's my best friend.  

Varian's P.O.V

I kissed Y/N! Why did I do that?! They kissed me back! Me and Y/N are just friends that's not going to change, even if I do have a crush on her.

Y/N's P.O.V

I don't like him! It doesn't matter what all the other kids say I don't like him.  I started walking around hoping the other kids won't see me. If there's a prize for rotten judgment, I guess I've already won that. No man is worth the aggravation, that's ancient history, been there, done that

Danyeli, Andrea, and Sa'ryah the newest kid at the orphanage jumped right in front of me and tried to convince me that I like Varian. Who d'you think you're kidding, he's the earth and heaven to you. Try to keep it hidden, honey we can see right through you I just walked past them while they kept singing. Girl, you can't conceal it, we know how you're feeling, who you thinking of.

I walked away from them and hoped they would leave me alone with my thoughts. I thought my heart had learned its lesson It feels so good when you start out. I couldn't stop thinking of Varian. No matter what the girls say, I don't like him... I think. The more I thought the more it felt like I wasn't trying to convince them I didn't like Varian. I was trying to convince myself. At least out loud I won't say I'm in love

The girls walked away knowing their job was done. Well, I guess I'll admit it now I do like Varian. The only bad thing is I'm leaving in three days.

Varian's P.O.V

I like Y/N, like a lot and now they're leaving. I was in my lab trying to think of a way for Y/N to stay. I can't let them leave, they don't even want to go. Why would they take them to a place she doesn't want to go to? All of a sudden I got a great idea it was risky but it might work.

I wanted to go now and tell them but it was really late so they're probably asleep. I'll tell her first thing tomorrow.
