The Howling

After I memorized what my dad told me, I rushed out the doors and headed to my old hanging out spot where I knew my old buddies would still be if they hadn't changed their routine. I thought I would find Mickey first, but instead, I ran into Luke he was my worst best friend of old, and he was one of the extreme badasses before I learned my wolf abilities made me a lil more powerful than him. But instead of holding any rivalry or grudges, I asked him how he was doing, and what he's been up to in the past several weeks. Luke plopped down on the curbside and said he hasn't been doing much of anything since the little group of friends split apart.

The entire time he was chatting with me, he was really admiring my tattoo that was on my arm and trying to figure out what about me changed. I leaned closer to him and asked him if he would like the chance to run with a pack again instead of being a solo act. Luke's eyes glistened slightly as he asked what he had to do to join. I didn't realize that being without the gang, he was very lost. I told him that all he had to do was listen to my words and agree to the terms of the brotherhood. After I told him the story of what I was, and what I had to offer him, he agreed a little faster than I thought he would, and the next thing I knew I was saying the chant my father taught me. After I was finished and the bright light left my eyes, a similar brand was etched in Luke's arm. I took a few steps back and told him he was now a member of the family with extraordinary new abilities.

Luke realized that after choosing to join up, he was now a dedicated follower and didn't have the choice but to take orders from the Alphas. I told him I had a few more people to offer my gift to, but he could head down to my dad's house for that's where we all were shacking up together for now. Luke shook his head and raced off into the darkness toward my old family house where my mother was cheerfully racing through the kitchen cooking up a feast for all my canine brethren. Klayton and all the others welcomed Luke gladly as soon as he entered the house showing his new mark on his arm.

I was heading to the last stop called the vacant lot where I met up with Mickey and his girlfriend Sylvia laying in his arms, and Tommy and his girl Nancy sticking to him like glue. I jumped in amongst them and shared hours of simple small talk and laughs to ease the tension since it's been several months since I interacted with any of them, then we shared a few beers, as I told them the reason why I left, and that I never wanted to disassociate from them. Even after I told them what I was they didn't seem to believe me. So I stepped back a bit and instantaneously changed into my wolf form and showed them what I was, then I switched back and told them at first, I thought I had to leave all my old life behind, but now I learned from my father, that I didn't have to leave my friends behind, if they were willing and or wanting to join me. That I could make them like me, all they had to do was accept my gift. Then I sat back down around them all and asked them what they thought about it, and if they were even a little bit interested in becoming part of my family.

But before I let them truly decide I told them of the evil Lost Pack that was hunting my family, and that they would, in turn, be hunted as well, and might have to fight to survive, but none of that seemed to phase them, because as soon as they heard that I might be in danger along with my family, they all quickly told me to change them and make them all members of my family so they could help me fight and protect my family by my side. Just like they did in the past as the family of friends we were before I turned into an oversized puppy.

I gave them all a loving smile and told them I would be honored to have them in the family as official members. So instead of saying the chant one at a time and changing them one at a time, I told them all to link hands and all agree to the terms of brotherhood, first, my eyes glowed red, then the Wolves Heart talisman levitated in front of me and glowed bright red as the brand mark slowly began to appear on each of my friends, once the chant was complete the glowing lights disappeared and my four friends were now full-fledged wolfies just like me, I told them to follow me to my dad's house, so they could meet the rest of their new family/pack.
