I hopped off the porch and circled them slowly checking out the new females they brought along knowing they both were shewolves, and asked where they found them at. Costa was about to answer me when Klayton stood up and said they were members of Tratto's Pack and that they were way out of their territory. Then he slowly walked out to them and looked right at Rachel and asked her where the rest of Tratto's pack was. Then he asked her how she's been doing, and how long its been since he seen her last.

We all stood around slightly puzzled before I stopped the conversation, and asked Klayton how he knew them. Klayton leaned up against the railing of the porch as he told us all that before he started up his own pack, he was part of Tratto's pack, and that Tratto was like a mentor/fatherfigure to him, and that he knew Rachel so well because she is his and Kacie's sister, that decided to stick with Tratto where her mate was, instead of coming with him and Kacie. Rachel interrupted and told Klayton that she knew what she did by choosing to stay behind instead of going with him broke all loyalty and pack rights to be in his pack, but Tratto and the rest of her pack mates were all destroyed and that she and Maya were the only ones that got out alive.

I interrupted playfully again and asked her how her pack got destroyed, she turned to me and said by a huge and evil pack that was spreading thru all territories like wildfire wiping out smaller packs as they go, so their will be no retaliation against them later...then she looked down as a few tears fell and said her mate and Tratto were the last ones to die. Then she looked up at her big brother and asked if it was ok to come back to his family. Kacie caught scent of her sister and came out the door and looked around hoping to find Tratto and the rest of the pack with her as an alliance to help with the Lost Pack, but as soon as she seen the looks on all our faces, she knew that there wasn't going to be any family reunion.

Until Klayton gave the permission Kacie knew not to approach their sister because when she chose to stay behind in Tratto's pack instead of joining them, it banned her as a pack and family member to them. Klayton gave a grumbling sigh and told her that she knew the law of the pack, when she made her choice. Rachel and Maya both lowered their heads slightly and backed up, Costa and Luke started to put their two senses in when Klayton silenced them and told his old sister that since her pack was wiped out and neither she nor Maya had anywhere to belong anymore, he would break his law this once and let them into the family. But beens they already wore the Tratto pack brand they would never be able to hold a rank in his pack, but just be mere followers.

Klayton lowered his head and after he said welcome, all of our packmates rushed out the door and welcomed them. Klayton drug Costa and Luke away from the group and asked them if they just happened to bring them there. Costa panicked for a moment, so Luke spoke out and clearly stated that he brought Maya to the pack because he intended on becoming her mate, if she'd have him. Then he added for Costa beens a cat seemed to have had his tongue tied, and said that Costa was hoping that Rachel would be his mate, beens they were wolves already they didn't have to go thru the change, and beens both girls were single and available, it seemed to be a good bargain all the way around.

Klayton remained sullen for a few minutes then told them both good luck with that, then he walked back into the house to relax with his mate for a while. After long chats with the two new recruits I too got tired of all the questioning and there somewhat answers, and ran up the stairs to snuggle with Kacie for as happy as she was that her long lost sister was back in the family, she was too worried about being the next pack destroyed by the Lost Pack. The rest of the family dispersed into separate rooms in the house, while Mama and Papa wolf took to the kitchen to make a nice sized pack meal for everyone. Which in turn gave Luke and Costa some personal alone time with Rachel and Maya just to see if either of the wolfettes were interested in becoming mates with them.

Maya accepted Luke's offer very quickly, for she was overly excited about being someone's mate, for she has never had the opportunity to be a mated pair with anyone from her last pack. Rachel was a little bit more on the insecure side of being another's mate after having her old mate of several years, destroyed in front of her eyes...she held Costa's gaze and said she was honored for him to offer that to her, but she just wasn't sure about having another mate just yet, but she added that she really liked him a lot and she would definitely take him up on the offer after she had just a little more time to grieve for her last mate. Costa agreed and just sat down next to her and told her about him, and asked her simple questions just to get to know her better. Luke was doing the same thing out on the porch with Maya, only she was too busy hugging and snuggling with him and mindlessly answering every other question in between her tiny kisses she was giving him on his neck, that he was eating up like candy.
