The Angels trudged along the meadow along the east side, peeling their ears to any suspicious sound.

"The last time I went over to the life sword structure there were many blood drinkers," Cedric said, glancing at Ever.

"Let's see when we get over there."

"How are we going to find Roop? You told that you saw her soul even though you destroyed her source of life. How can we find her now? What if she's right here with us?"

"Amota told the life sword will strengthen my power, maybe it will help me to discover Roop," Ever scoffed, although she felt that indeed, trouble was brewing.

"Well, I-" Cedric stopped mid-sentenced and halted his course. His eyes darted around and his hand rose with a fist. Ever immediately took action and plastered her back to him, scanning the foliage surrounding them. All Angels positioned themselves.

"What?" Alicia whispered, low enough for only angles to hear.

"Water," Alicia said. "Flowing water." Her Sigs were on out and ready to shoot.

"What?" Parisa looked confused.

"Water angels," Ever muttered.

"And air angels," Basilia added.

"But how?" Peter asked, creating water from his fingertips.

And then they attacked.

A huge gust of wind propelled them back from their position, followed by a gush of water. But before it could hit them they moved away, and Ever heard a twig snap. She created a fire ball and aimed it at the trees and began to shoot, carefully listening to other sound, trying not to use many of her strength. The others followed her.

The wind picked up again, and the gush of water followed. There were air and water angels. Ever and Cedric got separated, and the water shaped itself into a sword point and attacked. It was fast and sharp, and whoever controlling it had a good grasp in their powers. Ever dodged, and glanced behind to see a deep cut in the soil behind her.

"Left!" Alicia screeched and threw one of her knives at Alexander's left, nearly grazing his shoulder. A cry came, and an angel fell from a tree in the foliage.

But the water did not stop.

Seeing no other way, Ever clasped my hands, and knelt on the ground. She closed her eyes and thought of fire. Red flames began to burn inside her eyes. She opened them not being able to bear the unbearable warmth on her eyelids. When she opened her eyes, her angel wings appeared on her back and fire waves flickered from her body burning all blood drinkers around them but her fire wasn't enough, there were more, there were thousands of them.

The wind and water stopped, and the others took over. It was extremely hard to use her fire power, she felt like she had a heavy boulder in her mind, crushing her brain. Awareness faded, and she heard screams as if she was underwater and they were above. The others were excellent fighters, so she knew they could take down the others until she breathed in life into her.

"Ever!" Julian's foggy voice came, and Ever felt his arms around her shoulders. "Are you alright?"

My eyes were too heavy to open and I felt the touch of Julian's cold hands on my chest, he had his other hand around my body, holding me tightly. Julian's palm began to glisten with blue sparks, he transferred his strength to Ever. Ever slowly opened her eyes and Julian supported her to stand up.

"Are you okay, Ever?" Ever's voice was clearer.

"Yeah. I'm okay." She answered her throat scratchy. "Thank you."
