We always listened to stories of Angels being in war with Demons. But it seems the things have changed. Now, they want to fight us. Angels have somehow deemed us unworthy of existence, and makes it their mission to eliminate the problem. My name is Paul Thornton, and I am a vampire. I feed on blood, and my heart does not beat. I fight this never ending war with my family and my kind feeling that each day that ends is my last. To top off this metaphorical sundea, I have two powers that seem utterly useless yet insanely powerful. And now we are on the run again after a failed attack. So yeah, the last thing in my mind is falling in love.

But then this beautiful girl enters my life, and I can't seem to let go. Every thought I have is about her. Every thing I like is about her. she's so mysterious and secretive, but then again so am I. I think she is human, but there is something with her that I quite cannot put my finger in. But yet we click. After centuries of seeking, it seems I have found my one true love.

But things are getting more and more problematic, and the war is soon becoming something more. Something very personal. And now, my non beating heart is on the line and I will do whatever it takes to save the woman I love.
