Y/N's POV

I got out of the shower just as I heard the front door close. Mom's home. I checked my clock; 10:30 pm. She wasn't kidding when she said she had to work late. I had already done the little homework I had and walked downstairs to greet my mom. "Hey sweetie," My mom said, yawning in the process. "How was your first day?" She gave me a tired smile and rubbed her eyes. "Mom, you're exhausted. Just go to bed, we can talk about it tomorrow morning." I say patting her hand, hoping she wouldn't pass out on me. She did her very best to support us, being a single mom and all. Its just been us for a couple of years, when I finally got free of him.
My mom shook her head and blinked wildly. "No, I'm alright sweetie. I wanna talk about it," She groaned, playfully nudging me. "Please? How was it? What happened?" I decided I'd give her a brief summary of my day. Something quick so she could go to bed, but enough that she'd be content knowing how my day went. "Well," I started. "Mostly everyone was pretty nice." My mind flashed to Bakugou and how he tripped me this morning. "We had a quirk evaluation today, just my class." I walked over to the sink and turned on the water while grabbing a plate and scrubbing it. "Mhm, how'd that go..." My mom was sitting at the counter, head in her hand and her eyes halfway closed. I turned off the water, dried my hands and walked over to her. "It went great mom." I kissed her head and guided her to bed.
I turned off the lights and headed upstairs to get everything ready for tomorrow morning. I do not want a repeat of today. I made sure to set my alarm this time, right at 6:30 so I could take a shower and get to class early. After brushing my teeth and brushing out my hair, I got in bed and drifted off into a sleep.

"You worthless bitch" his voice hot on my neck. My eyes water, begging for mercy. "Please daddy, please don't hurt me." I cling to his leg, hoping it's enough to persuade him to not use his belt. I feel a stinging pain slap my back as I cry out. "Fucking pathetic. YOU THINK THAT'S ENOUGH!?" The lasting feel of leather marking the side of my face this time. No- not my face. I can't hide the bruise this time. "Please stop daddy!" I scream, my cold tears soothing the fresh wound on my cheek. But he doesn't. He never does. He never stops.

I spring out of bed, welcomed back to reality by the sound of my alarm clock. Thank fucking god. I touch my face, feeling my eyes watering. Hush hush hush, he can't hurt you anymore. Shshshsh, you're fine, I'm fine... I wrap my arms around myself and hug my knees to my chest. I'm fine. I don't have time for this.
Drying my eyes with the back of my hand, I make up my bed and walk into my bathroom. I turn on the shower to the hottest setting and let steam cloud the mirrors. I undress and walk into the burning water, letting it wake me up. Afterwards, I dry my hair and brush my teeth. I put on some mascara and sigh. "It's as good as it's going to get," I say out loud. I throw on my uniform, deciding to leave my tie here. I mean, it my be the ugliest fucking thing I've ever seen. No offense. I pull my hair back with a green ribbon and put on my shoes.
"Sweetie!" My mom shouts from downstairs. "Come down, I made breakfast!" "Coming, Momma!" I jump down the stairs, missing at least 3 steps, and strutting into the kitchen. My mom stands over the stove, a frying pan in one hand and a coffee mug in the other. "Just in time," She smiles. "I made eggs and pork rolls." "Damn, you really rolled out the red carpet for me." I smile, feeling grateful. "Watch your language." My mom says, narrowing her eyes and pursing her lips. "Uh- sorry." I say. "How'd you sleep?" She asks, putting the food on a plate and handing it to me. "Like a rock." I lie. I seem to be doing that more often. Its not her fault, I just don't want her to worry about me. She already has to pay the bills and work late. The least I can do is take her mind of me, right? "That's good, sweetie." She says. I scarf down the food and put my plate in the sink. "Thank you, momma." I say and head out the door.
Bag in hand, I skip down the sidewalk, feeling proud of myself for getting to school early this time. The sun has just barely come up by the time I enter UA.
As I turn the corner, I run into something hard. "Owww..." I say rubbing my forehead. Turning around was a tall guy who looked tired. Half of his hair was white and the other was red with a bright red scar covering the side of his face that had red hair. He looked down at me, probably to see what jabbed him in the lower back. He was kind of intimidating, I won't lie. "Sorry..." I said smiling apologetically at him. "Its fine." He said, uninterested. Hey, wasn't this the kid that used ice on the quirk evaluation? "T-todoroki? Right?" I asked him. "Yeah, and you?" He asked me, bending down a bit. I didn't like that. I hate when anyone makes a suggestive action towards my height. "If you can't hear me then just tell me to speak up. You don't have to lean down." I say crossing my arms with a smirk. He picked his head up in shock and looked away. "Sorry..." He said. "It's fine," I respond with a smile. "I'm (y/n)." "You're the one who uses light to power your quirk, right?" He asks, making sure to maintain his current posture. "Yeah, that's me." I say. "Like photosynthesis?" I know it was a genuine question, but I couldn't help but laugh. No one's ever compared me to a plant before. "Well, I've certainly never heard that one before." I say honestly. I can see his cheeks brighten as he rubs the back of his head. "Oh sorry..." "It's cool. Yeah, I guess I am like a plant." I smile at him. "Well, I'll see you in class, Todoroki!" I say walking towards the restroom and waving bye.
By the time I finish using the bathroom, it's about time for class to start. I turn the corner and run into someone's lower chest. "Fucking damnit, I keep running into people..." I curse out. "You've got a mouth on ya." A gruff voice says. I slowly run my eyes up the person I bumped into until I meet his fiery eyes. He's got a smirk on his lips that makes me want to slap it off. "You..." I scowl. "Watch wear you're fucking going." He growls, a frown replacing his smirk. "Though... I doubt you can see shit down there." He snickers to himself. "Whatever," I say, pushing past him. "You're not worth my time." I feel a hand grip around my wrist as I'm pushed against a locker. I feel his hand starting to heat up as his brow furrows and his burning eyes travel my body. "Eh - Don't start something you can't finish, pipsqueak." He whispers low. I don't break eye contact as I shake of his hand and say, "I'll finish it, Friday." I move past him, and start walking to class.
I sit down at my desk and get ready for the day to start. More and more of my classmates started to flood the room and eventually I was greeted by two young men.
One of them was blonde with a black lightening streak in his hair and the other had red hair and shark-like teeth. "I'm Denki Kaminari," the blonde one said. "And you are, mademoiselle?" I chuckled at the shitty french attempt and replied, "I'm (y/n), and who are you?" I directed my attention to the sharp toothed boy. "I'm Kirishima, but you can just call me Kiri." He said, showing off his pearly chompers. "You're a transfer, right? Where'd you come from?" He asked hitting his knuckles together. "Well, I was originally supposed to go to Ketsubutsu Academy, but I got into UA on a last minute recommendation." I reply. My hand was suddenly taken up by Kaminari as he said, "We're very lucky to have such a pretty, little lady like you in our class." I frowned and took my hand back. "I-" I started to speak, but was caught off guard by a certain spiky boom boom boy yelling, "Can you fucking back off?" He snarled at them. They looked at each other, shrugged, and went to go sit down. "Thanks, I guess." I tell him, trying to seem like I owe him nothing. "They were blocking my seat. I didn't do it for you." He spat back and sat down, looking out the window. I didn't expect any less from an asshole like him.
As the day went on, I slowly began to grow more tired until lunch came. Finally, a fucking break. I grab a bowl of rice and look for somewhere to sit, when I suddenly see Mina spastically waving her arm at me, motioning me to come sit with her.
When I sit down at the table, I notice Hagakure and Ururaka sitting with us as well. "How's your day been?" Ururaka asked me. "Boring, slow, unbearable, shall I go on?" I respond. The girls giggle and Hagakure asks, "How have you been dealing with Bakugou?" I sigh and roll my eyes. "You saw that little stunt he pulled in class yesterday?" I groaned. "Who didn't?" Mina chuckled. "Don't let him get to you. He's just a big bully!" Ururaka exclaimed. "I can handle him." I smile.

We continued to talk until lunch finally ended and we headed back to class where we were greeted by the #1 hero, All might. "All might?" "What're you doing here?" "You're teaching this class?" Several people asked. All might chuckled and put his hands on his hips. "Yes, yes, everyone. I'll be your teacher for this course. Now, everyone go get changed into your hero costumes. We had them created based off of the designs you were required to submit once you were accepted to UA." I remember turning that in, but I didn't think anything would come of it. "Once in your hero costumes, meet outside the cityscape." All might buffed out his chest and swooped out of the room after his announcement.

-In the girl's locker room-

I grabbed the case that had my hero number. #21. I carry it over to my gym locker as I unbuckle the clips that secured it shut. When I pulled out my uniform and put it on, I was pleasantly surprised. I'm not the best artist so I didn't expect them to get this based off my design.
My hero costume was a sparkling white leotard that had gold trim lacing the cuff of my neck and thighs, my gold tights went under it and clung to my skin giving me maximum movement. I had a small white mask that covered my eyes and the bridge of my nose. But my favorite part had to be white, high heeled boots that sparkled in the sun. God, it was perfect. This costume was mine.
I looked to my left to see Ururaka try on her costume. She wore a pink and black skin suit that fitted her perfectly and ended in big cuffs around her wrists. "Ururaka, you look amazing!" I exclaim. "Really?" She blushed, doing a twirl. I really liked all the girl's suits. They matched them perfectly.
We all left the locker room and headed out to the cityscape where the boys already had their costumes on. When I walked onto the scene I noticed that most of the guy were staring at me, which was strange. Did I have something on my face? I turned around to find Mina. "Hey, Mina." I grabbed her hand. "Do I have something on my face?" I asked. "No, why?" She asked curiously. "Well the guys are looking at me, I just thought I had embarrassed myself some how." I chuckled and rubbed the back of my neck. "Girl, they're looking at you cause you're smoking hot! Your costume is very ~sexy~." Mina winked at me and slapped my back encouragingly.
I mean, I guess it was revealing, but I just needed a suit that would let me move freely. I wrap my hands around my stomach, suddenly very conscious of people's eyes.
The staring was interrupted by All Might explaining the directions for this class's mission. "I will be splitting you each into separate groups. There will be one group of three since there is an odd count of you. One side will be the villains and the other side will be the heroes. Villains, your mission is to plant a bomb anywhere in this building. Try to keep the heroes from touching the bomb. You can immobilize your opponents. Heroes, your goal is to immobilize the villains and/or touch the bomb. The villains will have a 5 minute head start so they can hide the bomb. Does everyone understand?" We all said yes in unison. "Good," All might continued. "I will start calling out your groups."
I twisted the ring on my middle finger as I eagerly awaited to hear who I was in a group with.
"Iida and Bakugou, you guys are the villains. Your heroes are (y/n) and Midoriya. Next team is..."
Oh, great. That's just fucking great. Not only do I have to go up against the bastard, but Bakugou will also be playing the villain. Shit, I can't let him get in my head. I have to have faith in me and Midoriya.
I walk over to Izuku and pat his back, knowing he's probably just as freaked out as me. "We'll do awesome!" I say, trying to sound hopeful. "Y-yeah! I'm going to try my be-" Midoriya was cut off by the loud yell of Bakugou.
"You're dead, DEKU!" He barked. That just makes my blood boil. Who does he think he is, calling Midoriya an idiot. "Hey, who do you think you're calling Deku?" I bark back, sticking out my tongue and pulling down my eye. "Shut it, shortie. This doesn't concern you." He smirked, giving De- I mean Midoriya a glare.
Iida and Bakugou walked into the building we'd be fighting in, and their 5 minute head start, started.
"Why do you let him call you that?" I looked up at Midoriya. "It's just a childhood name, I won't let it hold me back!" He says, looking forward bravely.
I really admire Izuku. He doesn't let anyone's negativity get to him. I can only aspire to be like that one day.
I look at the Villain's timer and hear a buzz. It's time. I give Midoriya a look and then I stare at the building, feeling determined. "Let's kick some ass."
