Grace's POV (Approximately 35 minutes after the end of last chapter)

The steady thrum of the helicopter must have lulled me to sleep after the impressive show from Dominic because Craig just had to shake me awake.

"Heads up Grace, ETA 10 Minutes", he says before walking to the back of the plane to do one final weapons check before going over the plan with us one last time. I watch as he chambers a round into both of his firearms and walks back to where me, Mike, Nomad, and Dominic are sitting near the sliding door. I'm surprised someone hasn't taken the door-gunner's seat, though it wouldn't do any good either way. Craig finally speaks up with about five minutes left before we touch down.

"Alright guys, we know the game plan, right? The area of operations is a bank in the middle of an urban area so we have to do this fast. The White Mask have taken a pair of high priority hostages while they were checking their bank accounts, so the plan is that Grace and Dominic go in through the back entrance while Me and Nomad take the front. Mike will enter through the side entrance here", he says, indicating to each entrance as he goes, "and be allowed to move at his own disclosure. From there, we will rendezvous here, at the main spiral staircase. From there,Me, Mike, and Nomad will clear the basement to ensure no one surprises us while Grace and Dominic clear the top floor and acquire the targets and make their way to the roof to cover us three during extraction, then be extracted themselves. Clear?"

"Clear", me, Mike, and Nomad say, while we receive only an affirmative grunt from Dominic. Once done going over the plan, Craig takes his seat and Dominic opens up the gunner's door and drops to a kneel. I watch carefully as he keeps a careful eye out for any sort of offensive strategy from the White Mask. It's mesmerizing to watch as he scans from building to building with his optics. I hear a short grunt to my right and am broken out of my thoughts. I look to where the noise originated from to see Mike grinning his trademark shit eating grin before he mouths "You like him". I immediately blush a deep shade of red and rapidly shake my head "No". Mike just laughs a little and waves his hand dismissively. We're both startled by Marius coming over the comms to say,

"Three tangos on roof of AO, please be advised". Me and Mike both reach for our rifles before hearing the soft retort of a silenced rifle once...twice... three times before looking over to see Dominic still kneeling at the gunner's door before Nomad says,

"Not anymore". Mike laughs again before Craig comes over the radio.

"Mission is a go, call signs only", that means shit is about to get real so everyone lines up in front of the gunner's door behind Dominic and the second Jaeger touches the helicopter down, the intense chatter of machine gun fire immediately starts, causing everyone to sprint like hell to the nearest cover we can find. Now I understand why Team Rainbow was needed, these guys aren't playing. Before I can even process what to do, Firefly and Nomad are already returning fire and Firefly is deploying his Xerxes.

"There are nine tangos, each firing from a window on the top floor" Nomad calls out before Firefly pops back out of cover and fires six times. The enemy fire has severely decreased and this time Thatcher comes over the radio,

"I think you meant three, mate", he says, as stone faced as he always is in combat. Firefly pops up again and fires three more times. The enemy fire stops cold.

"I think you're both wrong, you meant none", Blackbeard says, almost laughing. Now that its safe, we all leave cover now that it's safe and start moving towards our designated entry point, well, I try, but before I can leave I get caught by my left shoulder. I turn around to see Nomad and before I can do anything, he starts talking,

"Listen to me real quick. I know you've barely just met Firefly, but you'll need to trust him. I promise, behind him is probably the safest place you can be right now" he tells me sullenly. I nod my head yes and turn away. It's kind of strange that he went out of his way to tell me that, but I think it's nice that he did, it shows he cares about his teammates, and trusts Firefly a bunch. I arrive at the door to find Firefly stacked on the left side of the door with Xerxes hovering at shoulder height. I stack on the right side as he places a breach charge on the door. I watch as he pulls the detonator and am startled as he stares directly at the blast. Once the door is open, Xerxes flies in and gunfire immediately starts to roar. Thatcher comes over the comms,
