The Announcement

Grace's POV (about 6 weeks after the end of last chapter)

It's been well over a month since Nomad's death and Dominic is doing significantly better, he's even started talking to Ela and Zofia. Though, I still don't know why he let me and the others into his life, he seems so private compared to all of us, especially since he's been taking on double the missions of everyone else. Either way, he's doing good other than a few questionable decisions, like the one I may be looking at right now. I'm walking up to his room and as I get nearer, I see Ela walk out of his room and stretch her arms above her head. She looks at me and smirks before quietly saying,

"I win Grace, he's all mine", before walking away like she owns the world now. I ignore her and walk into Dominic's living room to see that he's finally started decorating above ground and is picking up mass amounts of empty bottles. He looks at me sheepishly, which makes me smirk a little. 

"So, did Mr. Afraid to Fall in Love finally get some?" I say sarcastically, though the thought makes me a little angry for some reason.

"Oh Shit, I sure as hell hope not", he says, the realization that he may have had sex making him blush like it's going out of style. At this point, I've started helping him clean up. I can hardly believe the amount I'm picking up and finally decide to say something.

"So uh, what happened last night" I ask carefully, hoping it didn't go south for him.

"Well, shit, I don't entirely know. I'm downstairs trying to figure heads or tails of Mira's notes on my Xerxes and I hear a knock at my door. I decide to answer in person in case it's someone who doesn't know about A.R.I.E.S. Well, I open the door to see Ela, Lera, and Elias standing outside my door with a bunch of Vodka and Sprite. Well, they ask if I want to drink with them and I'm like, "Fuck it, a few drinks won't hurt" and let them in. Well, we start drinking, Lera and Elias get hammered and start making out on my couch like the power couple they are and Ela scoots up to me and says "Hey, that looks like fun, we should try it". I've only had one drink by now and I mixed it lightly, so I'm not even buzzed and can already tell I don't want to so I just kinda looked at her like she was nuts and slid over to the other side of the couch. Well she started pouting and Elias looked at the two of us and starts laughing, making Ela look pissed before Lera looks around and realizes we're out of Vodka. Elias tries to volunteer to go get more, but he's hammered so the last thing we need is him trying to navigate in the dark so I just say "No need" and open my fucking closet which, since I own a fucking whiskey company, is chock full of whiskey crates. Well, Elias and Lera take a look at that and just smile. Next thing I know, I'm waking up on the couch with a green headed Pole using me as a pillow", Dominic says quietly while stuttering a little, I guess thinking I'll be mad. Instead, I'm laughing hysterically at the situation this surprisingly innocent man got himself into. 

"So, you really don't know what happened between you two? Were you naked when you wok up?", I ask, still struggling to breathe from laughter. 

"Honestly, I don't, but I'm not sure I want to", he says back. 

"Don't worry sir, I think you'll find that your actions last night were more gentlemanly than you may think", A.R.I.E.S. says, before offering to display camera footage from last night. Dominic agrees and we both stare at the TV on the far wall as it flickers to life. The footage shows this room covered in whiskey bottles with Elias and Lera on the couch doing everything short of fucking on the couch while Dominic is on his love seat repeatedly pushing Ela away as she tries to cuddle up to him. After about 45 minutes of this, Dominic seems to tire of Ela's antics and stands up before proceeding to pick her up by her head and setting her on the other side of the room. He then returns to the love seat, lays down, and passes out after muttering something like "According to all known laws of aviation, bees should not be able to fly". The TV now shuts off and me and Dominic look at each other.
