[february]
Valentine's Day was on Saturday, and Namjoon didn't know what to do.
The holiday was celebrated a little differently for Koreans than it was in the Western world. Women usually gifted chocolates to their significant other, and then on March 14- exactly a month after Valentine's- the men would reciprocate the chocolate with a gift of their own in a holiday known as White Day.
But as most things were, Valentine's happened differently for the Kims.

Namjoon was working on some homework, when Young-Jae padded into their room, dragging his stuffed Koya plushie behind him with one hand.
"Daddy?" he said, tugging on Namjoon's sleeve.
"Hmm?" the older man said, looking down at his son.
"Tata said there's a zoo. Can we go to the zoo?"
"Um. Maybe not right now, but sure. We can go this weekend," Namjoon said, as the three year old climbed into his father's lap.
"Okay, cool! Whatcha working on?"
Namjoon chuckled a little, wrapping his arms around the little boy. "Just some homework. Didn't want to get behind."
"Ooh! I had homework too! Mimin helped me with it."
Namjoon smiled down at his son, stroking the little boy's hair.
"Really? And did you finish it all?" Young-Jae nodded, with a toothy grin on his face.
"Yup! It was easy!"
Namjoon laughed, as Young-Jae started moving around.
He crawled up his father until he was standing on the seat of Namjoon's chair in between his legs. Being a little taller, he stooped down, so he could wrap his arms around his father's neck, and squeezed as tight as he could.
Namjoon chuckled, before hugging the little boy back.
"I love you, Daddy."
Namjoon's heart melted at the adorable gesture, and he smiled, even though Young-Jae couldn't see.
"I love you too, baby." Namjoon rubbed the three year old's back before Young-Jae pulled away and tried jumping off the chair, Koya still clutched in his hand.
"Okay, bye Daddy! I'm gunna play with my toys until you're done!" he said, before turning to dash out of the room.
He came to an abrupt stop in the doorway, before turning to look at his father with wide eyes.
"Will you come play with me when you're done with your homework, Daddy?"
Namjoon gave the boy a wide smile, his dimple quite prominent.
"Of course, baby," he said.
Young-Jae's face lit up, a huge grin gracing his lips.
"Yay! Okay, Daddy. Bye!" he said, before bounding out of the room.
Namjoon exhaled, as he turned back around to finish his English homework.
Nibbling on the end of his pencil, he thought about what he could do for Jin on Valentines, while also entertaining Young-Jae.
He'd promised him the zoo.

Saturday came sooner than expected, and Namjoon was concerned he still hadn't done enough for his boyfriend.
