Day 10

PROMPT: Haunt

"A Ghost?"

It's the middle of the night

And you're all alone

Suddenly you hear a sound

A thud from the other floor

"What's that?" you wonder

Absolutely terrified

Hoping it wasn't a ghost haunting your house

Preying on your fears tonight

You try to calm yourself down,

Maybe it was just your cat

But you remembered the the feline slept with you

And is now meowing at the darkness

Shivering now with fright,

You try asking, "Who's there?"

Your question was met with silence

And the sudden chill from the night air

Finally you gave up,

Now completely overwhelmed by your fears,

You huddle inside your blanket

Praying for morning to come

So that you would no longer be swallowed by the darkness

Then morning came and you cautiously went downstairs,

In case the "ghost" was still there

But then you realized,

It was just your brother, sleeping on the couch

Who hurriedly snuck in last night and accidentally knocked over your kitchenware

dang son, you nearly gave her a heart attack-
it's not my usual (but that's okay, I'm still learning and exploring different genres) (and yeah, it can be better :P) but it actually made me laugh? HAHAHA
