"Masked"
Hidden emotions
Always suppressed
And never shown
Forevermore a mystery
To everyone around her
Features resembling a mask,
A fake smile plastered on her face
A cheery personality to hide her sadness
Assuring everyone that she's okay
When really, she's just broken and crumbling down on the inside
For how long she'll keep up this facade
I cannot seem to tell
But I hope that someday
She'll be able to break out of her shell
And finally express those emotions
That she's been keeping inside all along.
