Change of Plans

Aria Pov

I woke really early the next day feeling like crap but I didn't care I had to go to school act like everything ok besides I just want to live a normal life while I still can.

I walked out of my bedroom and downstairs to see my brother Mike in the kitchen he walks over to me and hugs me. He doesn't let go and neither do I. "You're the best sister Aria and I don't want to lose you" I could tell he was crying which made me cry I held onto him tightly " I'm not going anywhere Bro you can't get rid of me that easy" My response cause a laugh out of Mike before he asked a serious question "When does the chemo start?" When he asked the question, I thought for a second before realizing I'm screwed up big time. Mike could see the expression of my face change and he hugged me tighter "What is it?" he asked. I looked at him and said one word "Ezra" Mike pulled away he known about Ezra for a while unlike my parents who didn't at all " He will understand" I grabbed an apple and started munching at it " I'm not telling him and we have a date tomorrow but that is when the chemo starts" Mike could see the worry in my eyes and spoke "It's Friday so you go tonight tell Ezra we made plans for tomorrow so it needs to be tonight" I smile at Mike and nods before pulling out of the hug.

I ran upstairs after finishing my apple and quickly got changed for school she knew she needed to see Ezra before class.

When I arrived at school I headed for Ezra classroom and when I got there I just stopped and looked through the window and smiled as I saw Ezra at his desk before knocking on the door "Come in" I opened the door and walked in before closing it again. I looked at Ezra and spoke "Change of plans" Ezra looked puzzled at this "Don't tell me you have to cancel" He looked so upset and I knew it hurt him "Not exactly but can we do tonight instead of tomorrow?" I walked towards his desk and grabbed his hand and held it "Sure I guess but Saturday is our day" I looked down the guilt was getting to me but I couldn't tell him " I know just this week it can't be but we have tonight" I hoped he would agree. Ezra held my hand tight "Ok tonight it is but you will have to make it up to me" I smiled and moves closer to Ezra "I'm sure we can arrange that" I moved closer to Ezra and kissed his cheek quickly before moving away when the bell rang.

I knew Ezra had a class so I walked towards the door and as I went to leave I looked back at Ezra and smiled before walking out.

I got to my locker and grabbed my books when I spotted Hanna, she walked towards me "How are you feeling Aria?" I looked at Hanna "I had to change a date with you know who cause my chemo tomorrow" I had a tear run down my eye. Hanna quickly hugged me "I know Saturday is your day and that would have been hard I'm sorry" I showed a smile "Thanks Hanna could you cover for me tonight? Say I'm at yours until 11pm" I was hopeful "Of course" I smiled as we walked to class and all I could think about was making this night good for Ezra cause I knew when the chemo kicked in I wouldn't be in the mood for anything anymore.
