Aria Pov
After spending three days at home sick I was finally going back to school which meant finally seeing Ezra again I was feeling a lot better.
I put on a hoddie and sweatpants the complete opposite to what I would usually wear to school but i didn't care it all I could be bothered wearing. I was eating now only little bits those I had even had an apple today.
Shortly after I was ready I went down stairs to be greeted by Hanna and Spencer they both hugged me before filling me in but Emily had caught the flu going around the same one Ezra thought I had. Mike grabbed his bag and I did mine and we all headed out the front door to Hanna car ready for a day of school.
After twenty minutes of driving to school and Hanna quizzing me about Mason I got out of the car before Hanna, Spencer or Mike could fuss over me all I wanted to do was see Ezra after all I hadn't seen my boyfriend in three days.
As i walked in I had lots of people checking if I was ok I knew this was out of concern and reassured then that I was fine. After I finished talking to my classmates I dumped my bags in my locker before heading towards Ezra classroom.
When I got there I could see the blinds were shut so he couldn't see me which was good cause it meant I could surprise him as I didn't tell him I was coming back today.
I quietly opened my door and sneaked in Ezra was focused on the papers on his desk so I came up behind him and gave him a kiss on the forehead he immediately turned around smiling as he got off his chair and pulled me into a hug "You're back I missed you" This made me smile as I held onto him tightly I missed feeling protected "I am and I missed you too more then you know" We looked into each other eyes for a minute before pulling away knowing anyone could walk in. I could tell Ezra was worried about me and I also knew he thought it was more then the flu when he spoke up "If something was going on you would tell me right?" I looked at Ezra and knew my reply would be a lie but this was to protect him from my pain "Yeah of course I would I love you" He looked at me I think he bought at least for now "I love you too" I smile at his reply as the bell rang and I went and sat at my desk.
The class with Ezra went painfully slow everyone was checking how I was and asking what I needed then to do and I knew that Ezra would of heard this but I didn't care I would make up some excuse and I could also tell anytime anyone asked he got more concerned.
The bell rang soon after and class was over I saw both Spencer and Hanna leave and was about to follow then when I heard a voice "Aria a word" I turned around and smiled at Ezra I knew what he was going to say so I said something before he could say anything "They are asking cause they care and I would do the same for then" Ezra looked half convinced and decide to leave it there. I smiled at him and promised him I would go to his apartment tonight.
When I walked out of the classroom I could hear three voices in the hall one was Hanna, the second Spencer and the third was Mason as soon as I heard his voice I knew something was wrong and the smile I just had was completely gone.
I walked towards the group and they all looked at me with concern but Mason was the one to speak "You and me should go for a walk" I just nodded to say I was worried was an understatement I gave the girls a smile before following Mason outside.
When we were far enough away from school I asked him the question I was dreading the answer too "Is something else wrong with me?" Mason looked at me I could tell he was upset and struggling as we were close "Please Mason just say it" He looked at me before speaking "The dose of chemo it didn't work that why you were sick we need to try another type of chemo" This broke my heart and I cried into Mason chest then spoke "When?" He held me tight and replied "As soon as we can. I told the girls and your parents your not alone Mike knows too" I smile a bit even those I'm scared I glad Mason told everyone who needed to know. I looked up at Mason "Can I at least have tonight I promised Ezra a date?" Mason looks at me and shows a smile "Of course anything you want and Aria I'm here for you always" I smiled and hugged Mason again the tears ran down my eyes "Thank you Mason for everything" He didn't say anything he just nodded and held me in his arms
