Chapter Two~ Betrayal

Lena's Pov.

I stood outside the door contemplating whether I should knock or leave. I decided to walk maybe some good will come out of knowing Kara's secret before she knew that knew.

"Oh my gosh! Lena I thought you were in a ditch somewhere" Kara said as she rushed over to me and pulled me into a tight bear hug.

"You're crushing me Kara," I said softly. " I didn't know what to bring so I brought the red and white" I added as I held it to different bottles of wine. Alex showed up and walked over the car with the wine glasses and started pouring everybody drinks.

Kara's Pov.

" I really need to tell her Alex, I I've been keeping this secret for way too long I can't do it anymore" I said nervously.

"You do need to tell her, but don't do it now she just lost her brother" Alex replied. I put my head down.

" Yeah, and that's my fault, I killed her brother" I said sadly.

"You did it to protect everyone, including Lena" Alex said.

"Kara, is everything okay?" Lena asked. I nodded.

"I'm fine" I said. I couldn't tell her what was really bothering me, not without telling her who I am.

"She just misses her mom!" Alex blurted.

" i'm sorry, it's tough when you lose a parent I understand"Lena said sweetly.

"What would I do without you?" I asked wrapping her in a loose hug. She placed her hand on my head and gently started rubbing my head.

"You would probably crumble and fall apart without me" she said.

" be careful what you say in front of some people, they might think you're serious" I replied. Little did I know how serious she was. The night ended smoothly. Lena and I won. When game that was over everybody went home. "Hey, Lena do you want me to walk you home?" I asked.

"Yeah, sure" she replied. "Just let me grab my coat" She grabbed her coat and we headed to her pent house.

"I'll see you for lunch tomorrow?" I said softly.

She shook her head. "No, you won't" she said bitterly. I arched an eyebrow. Something I might have inherited from spending every second of everyday with Lena.

"Oh, why not do you have plans?" I asked.

"Why would you lie to me for so long?" Lena asked harshly. I was confused at first, but than it hit me.  "How  could you not tell me that you were Supergirl, we were best friends for four years Kara! Did that mean nothing?" She spat hatefully.

"No I-mean it means the world to me but I didn't it to protect you" I said, hoping she would forgive me. She didn't.

"Protect me? I can protect myself!" She paused. "I don't ever want to see you again!" She yelled. She walked into her penthouse and shut the door.

"Lena, please," I cried pressing my ear up against the door.

"No! You did the one thing I begged you never to do and you promised you wouldn't,but you still betrayed me" She said bitterly. I heard every lock click and the sound of her heals as she walked away. I shot up into the air and stood still in mid air where nobody could see me.
