Since my little adventure with the young brothers, Mary and Hank cracked down on me to make sure I didn't skip again. I didn't see a point of going, but the only way to get them off my back was to follow that rule.

So, the next week I went. Mary and Hank dropped me off right after school. My mind went to the time Angus offered me a puff of his cigerette, if he asked me now I knew I'd probobly accept, since stress can trigger cravings for those things like nobodies busniss.

"Violet! It's great to see you this week!" The rather eccentric and flamboyant consouller said with excitement as he approached me.

Since I wanted to be polite, I gave a smile and shook his hand, but in reality I wanted nothing more than to get out of there. The other children were nice too, in any other location I'd be more than happy to do what I can to interact with them.

I learned that the support group leaders name was Roger, he'd doubt with selective mutism himself. His smile could light up a room, if I'm honest I wouldn't be surprised if some of the girls had a crush on him.

That couldn't be me through.

As promised by my foster parents, I'd get McDonald's after therapy. Sure, the burger and fries tasted amazing, but it wasn't worth the awkwardness I'd just endured. And since Hank stopped at the grocery store, I didn't have a private place to throw up right away.

It was high evening when we arrived home. I unloaded my backpack when I noticed a peice of paper, it had Angus's phone number on it. I laughed it off, but for a second I actually thought about calling it. There was something about his soothing voice that made everything seem okay.

"Vi! Hey!" Malcolm chased after me and I turned around, waving at him. "What's up?"

I shrugged, hoping he'd get the message 'not much', then I titled my head. "Angus is looking for you. Told him I'd find you before the first bell."

I nodded, taking Malcolm's hand as he lead me to where his younger brother was throwing stones at the school.

"Oh...you're here... I brought you another candy bar." Angus smiled as I grabbed the chocolate from his hand. I gave a thanking smile, then sitting on the ground next to him.
