Revival

Part 1

After the snap, the world was now back to being how it was except for its best defender, Tony Stark aka Iron Man. The world mourns for the hero.

Pepper Potts handles the Stark Industries and fights alongside the Avengers. Young Morgan growing up knowing her dad less than probably anyone in the world is now struggling keeping up with her fast-paced life. Great things are expected from her just like her dad and this pressure is sometimes too much to handle. She needs to have a controlled and monitored life to be safe from countless endangering possibilities of the multiverse. All she wants is her dad to be here just like the whole world.

One morning, I wake up and hear Mom telling Happy to look after me as she rushes in her Rescue Armor. Happy speaks to her about an inter dimensional portal, I think. Mom doesn't really talk to me about saving the world stuff.

While fiddling with a few things I find Dad's last message. I've already watched it countless times and always wondered if it was this easy to leave everything. I play it again,

"..... I can't help everybody."

He looks at me,

"Love you 3000"

I've always wanted to know more about him. Happy is busy coordinating on the phone. So, I sneak into Dad's workshop. I am aware that I don't know the code to open the room but I'll just crack it with a tape and a lighter. Reaching the door, I find out it's already open. Maybe Happy was here and he left in a rush. I walk inside his lair. Filled with suits, cars and big screens I always imagined dad working here. F.R.I.D.A.Y lights the room.

"Hello".

I sit on dad's couch,

"Everything could've been so much easier if Dad was here."

"Sir would have predicted this portal event and it would rather be expected. He adapted his suit to work as the gauntlet even before anyone even thought that a human being could actually wield it."

"I wish dad was here."

"I miss his presence as well"

I get up and go to the gallery of the suits and look at every one of them, wondering how he felt fighting in these. Passing one by one I notice that the last suit, Mark 85 is in the gallery. There was something odd about this one, like it's been recently used. But the nano tech couldn't be used by anyone other than Dad and the company or anyone else couldn't have built it yet. How is it here? and in perfect condition? Suddenly, I see a shadow on the marbled floor. I look back. It's DAD? Standing right there smiling at me. My eyes can't comprehend what it sees, I feel a rush of emotions inside me flowing through every part of me body. I feel my limbs turning numb. My eyes slowly close and I see him racing to catch me. Suddenly everything fades to dark.

I open my eyes and find myself in bed. 'Was that a dream but I faint.. No, it has to be. Dad couldn't possibly be here.' I move out of the room and see Happy talking to mom on the phone about a barge in. Someone got into Dad's workplace and got out before anyone could notice. Whoever came in stole the AI. But no one had access to it except mom, Happy and Dad himself.

I wonder if it was actually a dream or, was it an answer to this mess. I rush down and the suit isn't there.

"Happy, what happened to the suit?"

"which one?"

"Mark 85, dad's last one."

"it's at the Avengers HQ, Morgan. Why would that be here."

Happy gives a confused look and goes on to continue with the investigation. I go back to my room and sit on the bed wondering what could be the answer to this. Is that another hologram device?

It's Dad. I haven't seen this one before. Not after the snap, he has no scars.

"Hey Morgan. You must have a lot of questions popping up in that amazing mind of yours. I am sorry that I couldn't be here for you. Just know that I'll always be there looking out for you. Always look out for Mom and you know what, you could one day be in that suit of Armor like your old man but only if you need to. This message was only for you. It's actually me, Morgan. Maybe not from this dimension but yeah, it's me. Good to be here, I guess. Something your dad arranged for this world. Keep my little secret, will ya. Love you 3000."

The device self-destructs. I sit there thinking about everything that just happened.

Could dad actually be out here? It all makes sense. He opened a portal just to come to us? Maybe he needed the AI to update on everything that happened in this world. He had access to all that. That explains the suit and the hologram.

I go out. Happy is on the phone.

"Morgan, are you okay?"

"yeah, but Happy. But what happened to the portal?"

"the portal was closed but.... um how do I phrase it. There's an unidentified life form to have come out of the portal. Banner thinks that it may lead to a world like us but they still don't think it's possible to open a portal like that intentionally."

Happy goes back to his call.

That might be impossible but after all,

He is Tony Stark.
