"Are you sure this is a good idea, Morgan?"

"It's going to work."

"Okay, so let's run through this again. I get out of the building because I am allowed to. You put on these shoe boosters you reconfigured from one of Mr. Stark's old suit which was probably not tested even if it works. And then you land on that nearby rooftop just like operating an iron man suit?"

"Yeah, and I take the parachute too. You forgot that part. Safety."

"I can't believe this. You don't know how to control a suit. You did pretty good right now in this test take off doesn't mean you can do it outside."

"Sometimes, you gotta run before you can walk. Dad said that to me, argue with him now."

"Oh God."

"You got a better idea? We are running out of time."

"How are you so confident, Morgan?"

"It's going to be fine. Okay let's do this. I'll get going."

Peter leaves the tower and I go to the roof. I am going to be dead if Mom finds out and I'll be dead if this plan goes sideways.

"Ah I can do this. Oh wow this looks really high. Gotta do this, gotta do this."

I check my comms for Peter, "Hey Peter, you there?"

"Yeah Morgan look here. I am on the roof."

Okay, he is there. That building is like 800 feet below this roof. I got to get down there. It's just how dad did it.

I put on the head, the hands and the boosters. I stand at the edge and turn it on. It's going pretty good, floating a bit high from the roof. Okay so here comes the hard part. I move towards the end of the roof. I look down and I want to get back, oh God.

"Morgan, everything okay?"

I move out of the roof. There's a thousand feet below me.

"You're doing it Morgan, just a bit more."

I move forward slowly. Wait what one of my legs is going off.

"Peter, I am losing altitude slowly."

"It's going to be fine Morgan. Keep coming."

"Peter I am not going to make it."

"Yes you will."

"I can't do this."

I dash forward. Not thinking about the landing anymore. It's too fast. I am falling too fast. I can't stop this anymore. I close my eyes falling down towards the ground from over the highest tower in New York. I feel weightless and drained out. I can't move my body or maybe my brain is not processing anything right now.

It seems to slow down. I feel a bit in control. I open my eyes and see Peter holding me and swinging towards a roof. He keeps me down and I come a bit back to my senses. Everything seems to be spinning around. I can't talk and slowly it gets dark again.

I open my eyes and find myself in Peter's room. It's small and very messy. Everything is lying around. I can't see Peter anywhere near. I get up from the bed and look at his computer. It's tracking something, some codes up and running with radar. I guess that's what he was using to detect the anomalies.

"You're up."

"Yeah, what happened exactly?"

"You passed out. I think it was the height."

"I am sorry. I was out of my mind."

"You did well."

"I could've died."

"And that's makes an avenger. Not bad, kid."

"Do you mean... I qualify as an Avenger?"

Peter comes down to me. After a pause he says,

"Of course not. Pfft, I was just being cheesy."

"What the heck Peter."

"Yeah you could've died and killed me too. Apart from everything, not bad kid."

That felt great. That felt really great. But I won't show that it did. Come on, straight and serious face up.

"I almost forgot, how are we on that portal situation."

"No sign of him yet. I think we have to wait a bit longer because the avengers just got there and I predict that he is going to leave them some clues to mislead."

We go downstairs. Aunt may gave us date loafs. Not really my type of food but yeah we were talking for a while.

"Morgan and I are going to go upstairs now, just don't tell Ms. Potts about this."

"Yeah okay. Don't get me in any trouble."

"So she doesn't know anything about what's happening?"

"No, she just freaks out a lot."

I look at the computer and its fluctuating.

"Peter, I think you should check that out."

Peter looks at it and rushes to his computer.

"It's happening. The environment is getting unstable here. There's going to be a time space fluctuation."

"Are we supposed to feel anything?"

"I don't think so. Maybe it works like the Tesseract portals. Okay, this doesn't seem good."

"What do we do?"

Suddenly Peter turns around, grabs me and jumps right out of the window in less than a second. We are hanging outside beside the window. It was his Spider sense or as they call it the Peter tingle. I am on Peters back looking down to the road and the moving vehicles. We feel a rush of wind inside his room. It got super windy for a second and off. I look at Peter, he looks like he can sense something or is waiting for a moment.

Peter peeks inside and he doesn't give an expression. He lets me peek and see the room is empty. It just got some papers flying. I thought we were going inside now, but Peter doesn't move. He puts on his mask and his flying spider cam opens up its vision. It was on his table, slowly shifting its angle to face our window. I see what looks like a person just standing exactly beside the window on our opposite side. And it goes black.
