Revival

Part 4

Peter stood there shocked, not being able to understand how it's related right now.

Harley explains, "So here it goes. I woke up yesterday on my couch to a big mess. My backyard was pretty destroyed I guess. The lawn needed work. I see this suit lying between the mess. What I think is whoever sent it here couldn't work on the landing of this thing."

"What do you mean by sent it? You think no one was in it when it landed?"

"Nope. I double-checked on that. This was programmed to this location. Crashed right in my backyard. So I disassembled a little and the helmet had a message in it. When I played the message it was a hologram of Mr. stark. I have been working on creating weapons and upgrades for suits. It's kind of my thing. He had been helping me with these for a long time."

"Let's just skip to message part yeah? What did he say?"

"He told me to make a suit."

"Wait what?"

"Yeah you heard me right. And that too for Morgan. He named some of my upgrades to be in that and to make it the most user-friendly yet secure vessel I could think of. It kind of made sense to me. I guessed he could've timed this message to sense an upcoming threat."

"Okay this is a lot. Umm tell me about the suit. It's in a good state right?"

"Well the suit is great, fully functional. It just doesn't have an AI in it. It worked as a device just to hold the message. I need to study some mechanisms of his suit too before I can build one for Morgan. So, I think he sent it to me for that too."

"But what threat could there be that Morgan needs to deal with now."

"He seemed pretty serious about it though."

"So when did this suit arrive?"

"Yesterday, around morning."

Peter figures out that might be before the Avengers busted the hideout. He also found traces of a spaceship in the woods at that time. Maybe it took off some time before. He did anticipate the time of the raid correct. I need to inform Morgan at least about this threat.

"I should get going. I need to tell Morgan about this threat. What if it's actually a thing."

"I'll start working on the suit then. And where do I contact you?"

"Here, keep me updated if anything else happens."

"Yeah, sure."

I need to ask Peter about these videos of Howard Stark's murder. Not that I think he would know but he might. And it's better to figure it out with him. I can't even take some of this stuff.

"MORGAN"

"Peter is here."

Peter tells everything to Morgan.

"Give me Edith. I know how we can get our next clue."

"Edith"

"Yes Peter"

"Track any sign of an Artificial Intelligence usage around Times Square."

"Friday was not in the suit, so wherever he is Friday is with him. Now there are a lot of AI's around the city but not as advanced as Friday. So we can just figure out its location by calculating the range and its user accessibility. The only drawback is it might take a while."

"That's great Peter. Mom will be back soon so I think you'll have to take this to your place."

"Yes okay."

I'll just ask Peter about this next time.

"Just promise me you won't go to the place you track down before talking to me."

"Okay Morgan. I'll get to work. And give me a day or two to track this down."

"Okay Peter."

Peter leaves. I go back to my room. What could be this threat? And why would this be after me? I don't get any of it. I think I'm missing something here. Dad knew something which obviously no one else did. And this individual knows what it is. The only way might be talking to this being.

It's been two days and Peter says there's been more problems and it's not as easy as he thought.

"Morgan"

"Yes Mom"

"There has been a situation which needs my attention. I don't really know how long it's going to take. I'll have Peter here with you before I leave."

"Mom, what's the case?"

"I don't know why I am telling you this. Uh okay... so another portal opened up 3 days ago somewhere in Tennessee. And it still seems to be like that."

"Yeah mom I get it. Just stay safe."

"I'll send Peter."

Peter comes home.

"So, any progress with the location?"

"Well I actually found its presence first in the hideout the Avengers busted and then somewhere in Tennessee. But it was never really active for the whole time."

"Wait does that mean...."

"What?"

"He is travelling between multiverses."

"The avengers are after a portal right now in Tennessee."

"Yeah Peter, the suit didn't land. It was thrown through the portal. Nobody broke in this tower it was heavily guarded. It was a portal. It was always a portal."

"The avengers will never catch him if they follow him. He'll disappear moments before they reach there."

"That just makes it even tougher. They'll have to predict where he is going to be to get him."

"WE WILL HAVE TO, Peter."

"Yeah, but how?"

"I don't know, he was like your dad. You tell me."

"Well he IS your Dad."

"Not this one."

"Okay, you win. So he contacted you and then Harley."

"Isn't it obvious Peter?"

"Aunt May is home."

"Let's go, he could be there any moment."

"So this was a distraction to get the Avengers out of city."

"Yeah right but I can't be seen getting out of here. Mom will be notified the moment I step out."

"She is gonna kill me if she knows that I let you out."

"I think I got an idea"
