Part 3

"Peter"

"What are you doing here?"

"Don't scream. Just calm down let me explain. I know this might sound really really crazy to you but listen to me."

"Dad's out here in the city? Yeah I already know that."

"What? Who... okay then that's good I guess but how are you not surprised or am I the only one freaking out so much?"

I think if there's anyone who'll listen to me and help is Peter. Maybe I should tell him about everything. I still don't know why he is here in my room at this hour. That's still creepy no matter how you think of it.

"I'll tell you Peter, but why are you here at this hour? And how did you get in? The building is supposed to be full-on locked."

"I got Edith, Morgan. I have the entry to everything of Mr. Stark. Handling it pretty well after that Beck incident."

"Just sit down here and tell me everything. What's this sudden raid in my room about?"

"So when we were about to go to the hideout, I got distracted by this anomaly close to Times Square while trying to detect the origin of the portal. They were all after this individual so I went by myself. Cap wouldn't take me with him so I kind of snuck out. When I got to this location, there's literally nothing. I expected a big lab or something but it was just an open space between the trees. I used Edith to scan the area and it showed me traces of foreign particles there. Now, what I think is that there was a landing of some kind of a foreign race on Earth. When I got back they informed me that it could be Mr. Stark and after analyzing those traces on a cellular level I think these belong to the Kree.

So it just makes sense that it's not really Mr. Stark and another Kree soldier in disguise. I really wished it would be Mr. Stark but I guess it might not be him after all."

It all makes sense now but if it was not him then why would he talk to me secretly. And that too just like he cares about me.

Öh , and about me breaking in your room, the traces of that particular being, which I think is a Kree now, was detected in three places over the world, that landing spot in the woods, your room and another one somewhere in Tennessee. I thought I'd find something here at least."

"Well, there was something but it self-destructed on its own. It was a message with dad in it. I don't know might be the kree soldier shape shifted as him."

I tell Peter everything including the books and formula's with Howard's things. Maybe Peter and I can figure it out. Having Peter by my side felt better, like someone I can depend on. Is that how dad always felt?

It's already close to morning and we decide not to let anyone else in this. Peter goes back but I keep wondering about this place in Tennessee. What could be the answer to this puzzle?

I think about everything dad did that I know. But nothing leads to Tennessee. It's been 5 years since dad passed away and how is all this happening now. We need to get to Tennessee. Peter told me that he would go to the place but I want to be there. There was a reason this being involved me in this mess and now I think I am the only one who knows the most about this.

Its morning, Mom is going to go out in a while. I talked to Peter and he will be here in a while.

Mom saying from the door, "Morgan, I'll be back by 2. Peter wanted to be with you for the time, he is going to be here soon."

Peter enters right after her.

"Morgan, do you remember Harley??"

"Who?"

"He was at the funeral. Mr. Stark knew him well. He once got stuck in Tennessee and Harley was the one who provided him with everything. I tracked down the traces and they lead to a garage in Tennessee named after the Keeners. I am pretty sure this last trace leads to Harley."

"We should talk to him, contact him somehow. But we don't even know if he is aware of the incident and if we can trust him."

"Well, Mr. Stark did. He had contact with him all those years."

"We need to get to Tennessee."

"It's not safe for you, Morgan. I can't risk your safety for this. I should go alone. I'll head there right away. Here, keep Edith. You can contact me in my suit directly and see everything through these."

Ÿeah, okay. Just look out, we still know nothing about this."

Peter leaves me with Edith. I put on the glasses. Dad gave this to Peter after his death. He had these glasses, so I might just use this in the meantime. I rush down to the office. Edith shows the records of every suit and everything in this place. I run searches about Howard Stark. It all comes down about the incidents of super soldier serum and the winter soldiers. Bucky's tape starts to play where he killed Maria and Howard Stark while transporting the Serums. Not being able to handle the death and senseless murders by someone so close (Bucky Barnes/ Winter Soldier), I throw the glasses down to the floor. I didn't know anything about these. How did dad still live and fight alongside someone who killed his parents like this?

Peter reached Tennessee on the other hand and met Harley outside his garage. Seeing Peter from far away Harley rushed to him,

Ï was about to contact you about an incident"

"Me? About what?"

"Come with me."

Harley takes Peter inside his garage. Full of screens and devices like a mini version of Tony's workplace, he takes Peter through to the backyard. It was the Mark 85 Nanotech suit standing right there.
