DISCLAIMER
I made this story quite a few months ago and I just want to say that I don't really ship Solby like this anymore. I think of it now as more of a friendship type way. They're definitely soulmates, for sure, there's no denying that, but soulmates don't need to be in a romantic way. It can also be a close friendship, and that's how I think of it now. With that being said, enjoy...Third Person POV
Sam Golbach, a light angel with fluffy white angel wings and a glowing ring halo. He's a 17 year old sweetheart that lives in the Halo Forest.
Colby Brock, a dark angel with big black angel wings and glowing black horns. He's an 18 year old sweetie that lives in the Deep Rose Forest.
Ever since they were little, they were taught to never speak to the opposite kind. Sam was warned that the dark angles were cruel, evil and would mess with you for fun. So Sam never went near them. Colby was taught that the light angels were bad news and acted all full of themselves. That they would betray you and act super fake. So Colby never went near them.
Sam's POV
The sky shifted and rotated in my eyesight as I flew around trees and birds. I decided to go to the blueberry tree and get a snack. My white wings flapped and stretched to keep me going. I made it to the blueberry tree and filled my cloth with berries. I noticed a new blackberry bush a few yards away and I decided to check it out. I tied the cloth together, securing the berries inside and fluttering off to the bush. I landed and picked a berry off of the bush and popped it into my mouth. The berry burst in my mouth, filling it with sweet flavor. I smiled, undoing the knot in my cloth and plopping a dozen berries inside. I heard a rustle in the leaves, as I immediately jumped back.
"Who's there?" I asked, tying the cloth back up and looking around. Suddenly, a pair of black angle wings emerged from a nearby bush that was about 8 feet away from me. I gasped and fell back on my ass. "Get away from me!" I scooted back, gazing at his features. Dark brown hair, piercing bright blue eyes, black horns and wings. I'd never seen a dark angel up close.
"What are you doing here?! This is our property." The boy said, curling his wings.
"I'm sorry, I was getting blueberries back there and I saw these and wanted them too. I didn't know this was a different forest." I explained.
He paused for a minute before holding his hand out for me to grab. I hesitated but placed my hand in his. He pulled me up so fast that I bumped his chest. Our faces were a few inches apart when he let my hand go and stepped back.
"I'm Colby by the way." He smiled.
"I'm not supposed to be talking to you." I looked away.
"I'm not supposed to either but here we are." He giggled.
I hesitated but eventually said, "I'm Sam." I held out my hand, shaking his.
"That's a nice name." He smiled.
"So is yours." I smiled as well.
"Your wings are so fluffy," he held out his hand, but stopped halfway, waiting for my okay to touch my wings.
"Go ahead." I nodded, stretching my left wing closer to his hand. I watched his ring filled hand brush and stroke the feathers.
"and soft." He giggled again.
"T-thanks." I smiled and laughed at the same time. "My parents always told me that dark angels were cruel and mean but, you're really, nice."
"My parents always said that light angels were fake as fuck and betray and use people," he giggled. "but you seem different." Colby wrapped his wings around himself.
"I'm not like what you hear. None of us are." I mentioned.
"I'm not like what you heard either. I like to think most of us are pretty sweet." He giggled.
"My parents would kill me if they saw me hanging out with you." I smiled.
"Same." We both giggled.
"Well, I better go. I don't want my mom wondering where I am." I stretched my wings.
"I should go too, nice to meet you, Sam. Meet me here tomorrow?" He asked.
"Nice to meet you too, Colby. Yes, I'll be here." I smiled softly, lifting my wings and soaring into the sky, back to my home in the trees.
