We slowly walked to Cindy's room when we heard her cry, peeking through the little opening in the door.

"Everything alright?" Zach asked, sounding a mix of confused and concerned.

She stuffed her face into a pillow, not even looking at us.

"Anthon cheated on me." She mumbled.

Alright let's rewind a bit.

It's a Sunday, so Cindy called us and her boyfriend over to hangout.

We didn't have anything better to do so we agreed.

Her parents weren't home, we invited ourselves in with the spare key. We knew where it was because we've been coming here for the past 7 years.

As we entered we could hear her soft sobs.

I was slightly concerned since she sounded so excited on the call, just about twenty minutes ago.

-------

"Anthon cheated on me."

"Wait what? With whom?" Zach said immediately looking agitated, you see he's especially over protective of Cindy because she's not had a fatherly figure...

"A friend from school called, she told me that in the party we went to last week he ended up hooking up with Maria? I think that's her name....." She said sounding disappointed.

"Did you talk to him?"

"No..."

"Talk to him in school tomorrow, we'll be there if you need us, ok? For today Zach got us snacks, let's watch some movies and eat, yeah?"

"Thank you." She said, finally slightly grinning.

-----------

After watching movies for a while, I had work so I had to leave and Zach disclosed that he had to go run some errands for his mom.

"Thanks for coming guys, I'll talk to him today or I probably won't be able to sleep."

"Bye Cind, call if something happens okay?"

"I'll be okay Zach." She said walking to the fridge.

I smiled at her, as he put the spare key back under the flower pot and headed to the car. This isn't how we usually hangout, but we can't be fooling around when she's not herself can we?

"I don't understand why you work. Doesn't your dad send you money?"

"He does but I don't wanna rely on him. Besides I get free coffee this way."

I paused for a bit.

"Actually it's just because I get free coffee." I said making Zach laugh. I reached his house slowing down the car.

"Well, up to you man. Thanks for driving me." He waved at me and left.

I headed to work. I work Monday, Wednesday and the weekends.

Sometimes I take sundays off but I don't really mind working on the weekends other than the fact that it's stupid busy.

Well I don't have a life anyway.

I don't have a girlfriend, or a boyfriend for that matter. The only romance I've had in my life has been peculiar dudes hitting on me at work.

Make no mistakes, I'm not gay. But If I like the person I don't really care about their gender to be honest. So yeah, I've had guy crushes, but not any serious ones.

Besides most people in our city are pretty open minded. I haven't seen people get bullied for being gay, well, in my school atleast.

Arriving at work, I sighed. It was extra busy today.

I walked in, waving to Tanya, my coworker and quickly getting to work.

After 3 grueling hours of repeatedly faking smiles at people, saying I was tired was an understatement by a long shot.

But hey, atleast I was almost done right?

Towards the end of my shift, I saw a group of guys come in. One of them came over to the counter to order, clearly much stronger and taller than me.

"Hi, what can I get you?"

"Um one sec."

He looked down at his phone, back up at me and then down again.

He then proceeded to give me a long ass order while I looked at him, my mouth slightly falling open. Seriously? I was almost done with my shift, darn it.

"Hey are you listening?" My head snapped up to find a slightly annoyed, but honestly gorgeous face staring back at me. Wait a sec- did I just....

"Y-yeah. Do you mind repeating that? It's a rather long order." I said a little intimidated.

"Nevermind just look at everything in my notes. It's a lot but please make it quick."
I nodded taking his phone and looking at the long list.

We somehow managed to get everything done in 20 minutes and I called him over.

"About time." He said clearly annoyed. I tried to smile but I was getting tired of smiling at this point. He walked back as the entire group attacked the food.

Just 5 more minutes, I thought looking at the clock.

Suddenly the guy from before got up and walked over.

"You got the strawberry drink wrong. " He muttered, clearly annoyed.

"Um I'm sorry it was a large order so we may have gotten confused-"

"Ah cmon. You literally have one job, and that's to get the darn order right."

"I'm sorry, I'll replace the drink. Which one did you order?"

"Nvm, This isn't too bad. " He said and turned away.

What the actual fuck? Why did he have to make a scene if he didnt mind it?
