"You met Jeremy didn't you?"

I immediately tensed up, my eyes widening. Just the thought of the guy scared me.

"No I d-didn't."

"Like I'll believe that. Tell me what he said."

"I didn't see him!"

"You didn't know his name before, you moron."

"I could have ju-"

"Oh my fucking God Liam just tell me."  He snapped.

"J-just mind your own business, Matthew." I said and turned to go back in but he reached out and held my hand to stop me.

"Why do you have to be so difficult?" He said losing patience.

As much as I wanted to tell him, I couldn't. 'but wouldn't Jeremy leave you alone if he knew you had Matthew on your side?' the logical side of my brain suggested.

He would, he definitely would. But I just couldn't bring myself to tell him.

"I'm not being difficult."

I gently released my hand, opened the door and walked in.

"Have fun on your date." I said giving him a slight smile, before closing the door.

After a while, I heard his footsteps grow fainter and when I could no longer hear him anymore I finally slid down against the wall hiding my face in my knees.

Dammit.

I didn't even cry after coming back home, why was I crying now?

"Liam? What's wrong?" Cindy said when she noticed me, rushing over.

Crap, I forgot they were home.

"Za-"

"Don't call him, please."

She looked at me with worried eyes, slowly nodding and leaning over to hug me.

"I won't ask you to tell me what happened, but we're here if you need us okay?" She said, concerned.

I nodded, my eye lids suddenly feeling very heavy. Better than dealing with all whats happening anyway.

When I woke up, it was already dark outside. No one was home, well except for a note from Zach.

"Cindy told me you didn't feel too well, but that doesn't really fool me. I've known you for too long to believe that. Anyway, tell me about it when you can, for now I made dinner, warm it up. Make sure to remove the foil completly before microwaving it okay? I'll come over after school with your notes tomorrow. Take care ~"

I smiled like an idiot reading it. He can be really sweet when you need him.

I walked over to see a dish of Japanese curry, that looked a hundred times better than the one I had made.

After dinner, I couldn't sleep so I took out a book, reading and eventually getting lost in the book.

I heard my phone ring, not really seeing who it was I picked it up.

"Hello?"

The familiar voice registered as I tried to suppress my anger.

"Dad?"

"Liam, I haven't talked to you in a bit, how are you doing?"

"I'm fine." I said trying not to sound too rude.
