TEARDROPS ON ICE

I walk to the Moon with teardrops of ice,
The world is bleak and nothing is nice.
My life's become blank with no-one wise,
I'm living in this fake fantasy filled with lies.

No-one is there for me in my fall,
But when I stand up everything is tall.
I walked right into the soulless hall,
Though I perceived as if I was in a ball.

I'm living in the shade they were throwing,
In my solitary stream I'm flowing.
You don't know how much it was hurting,
When I cried my heart out in the night swing.

But I console myself that everything would be fine,
That I'm just in the wrong side of the line.
That someday with my complete family I would dine,
When I come out of this world of counterfeit shine.

You must think,
what's the use of dreams that don't come true?
Of those forged promises that only make ones heart blue?
Of those sad poems that I wrote for you?
But alas you're not alone I'm there with you too.

Actually it was his prompt, of making me write something about "loneliness and thinking everything would be alright even when it's not. "

I hope this poem stood up to your expectations!

Do comment (on all of my poems, if you wish) and vote to show your love!! It brings a smile on my face whenever I read a comment, it makes my day, really.

Stay safe, it's tough time.
Love,
Allisa.
