The two had migrated from the hallway into the kitchen. Shuichi was unsure of what Kokichi wanted to do, but remembered they both hadn't been here yet and thought It would be a good place to be. He had put Kokichi on the counter as Kokichi didn't want to sit in a chair "Well... if you don't want to sleep, what would you like to do?" He asked curiously. Kokichi thought for a second before giggling.

"Well!! I don't really have a preference or anything!! But I have been missing the ocean lately, could you maybe take me there??" He asked, really wanting to go. It wasn't a lie that he missed the ocean, it was his home after all. Shuichi bit his lip and looked off to the side.

"Sorry Kokichi... I can't take you there until you're fully healed..." He told him feeling slightly guilty about it. He wished he could take him, but it would be the best choice to wait. At least, that's what he told himself. Kokichi's face dropped when he heard this, he didn't like that he wasn't able to go but he quickly put up his mask.

"Well good thing that was just a lie!!" He said quickly "I've been having sooo much fun with shumai I haven't even thought about the ocean!!" He told him while smiling brightly. Shuichi smiled softly and let out a small sigh, he then started to move about the kitchen deciding to make himself a snack.

"It can't be very interesting being here with me Kokichi... You don't have to lie to me" He told him in a soft tone, his movements not stopping as he made the small snack. Just some a few carrots and some water and he started to eat it, unintentionally slipping into his thoughts.

"Me? Lying to you? Never!!" He responded but noticed Shuichi wasn't paying attention. A frown made its way onto his face as his eyes narrowed slightly. He cleared his throat "Well Saihara-chan!!" He said loudly, hoping to catch shuichi's attention, which worked and Shuichi looked up at Kokichi with a confused expression.

"I just have a small question!!" He said in his normal childish tone and smiled. Shuichi, still confused thought nothing of it and nodded his head, waiting for kokichi to continue, curious about what he had to say. Kokichi waited a bit before starting up again "Just wondering why you lied to me earlier!!" He asked, his tone staying the same.

Shuichi's eyes widened slightly at this and he chocked on one of his carrots "W-what?" He asked, nervous that Kokichi had found him out but he decided to play it dumb, hoping kokichi would stop "What are you talking about? I never lied" He said, trying to keep his voice steady as he avoided eye contact with the smaller male.

Kokichi scoffed as Shuichi tried to play it dumb, not falling for it "You know what I mean" He responsed with and narrowed his eyes, his tone dropping "Earlier, about the book." He said, hoping this would draw the truth out of Shuichi "You lied to me when I asked what it is" He added "Did you really think I wouldn't notice?" He seemed offended as he spoke.

Shuichi was getting more nervous and had been messing with his fingers while Kokichi spoke "Ah- Well-" He couldn't seem to find the right words to say as he was stumbling over them. Kokichi noticed this and rolled his eyes before sighing.

"Fine, I'll let you off the hook this time" He told him "But the next time you lie to me I won't let it go so easily!" He warned. Shuichi's breath got caught in his throat when he heard this before nodding his head, glad Kokichi was going to drop it.

Kokichi then brightened up while smiling "Anyway!! Can I go back to the bathtub?" He asked looking at Shuichi "It feels like forever since I've been in water!!" He said dramatically as he giggled and reached out his arms. Shuichi hummed in response and had put down his snack, moving closer to Kokichi before gently picking him up again.

"Sure! We can go back" He said before leaving the kitchen with Kokichi and going back down the hall, the two passed by a few rooms before making it back to the bathroom. Shuichi had then begun filling it back up with water, making sure it was the right temperature before telling kokichi it was fine for him to get in.

"Okie dokie!! But just letting you know I'm not wearing anything right now!! You better close your eyes unless you're some pervert!!" He said and giggled, in reality he had only taken off the pants, nonetheless Shuichi blushed in response and stuttered out something as he covered his eyes and waited for the ok to look.

Kokichi giggled at this and moved over to the tub. After a few minutes he heard the bath water splash before hearing Kokichi telling him he was in "Shumai!! You can look now!!" He told him and Shuichi had uncovered his eyes, his blush gone and looked down at kokichi. He then noticed his tail and his eyes were glued to it.

Kokichi seemed to notice this as he giggled "You can touch it if you want!" He told him and smiled. Shuichi was slightly surprised by this response but didn't object as he kneeled next to the tub. Water had splashed out of it from when Kokichi was getting in but he didn't care very much, paying most of his attention to Kokichi's tail as he brought a hand up to it and gently started to feel it.

Running his hand up and down a small section of it, the scales. It felt exactly as he thought it would, soft. He enjoyed the feeling of it "Enjoying yourself?~" Kokichi teased but didn't stop him as this had felt relaxing to him. Shuichi didn't bother responding as he was lost in his thoughts at this point Huh... looking at it up close again... these colors are very pretty He thought as he looked at it.

His tail was mostly purple, but the way the color blended and faded along his tail amazed Shuichi. It went from Lavender to Violet before becoming a dark purple at his waistline. He had gills on the sides of his neck and when he was in his form his ears were pointed a bit while his eyes were more or less the same.

Shuichi couldn't help but keep staring at it because it was beautiful. "You really can't keep your eyes off it can you~," Kokichi teased poking his cheek making him jump as his thoughts were cut off.

"Wha-" Kokichi put a finger to his lips before he could continue. "It's ok if you like to stare our tails are supposed to help us find food or even lure humans to us...that's why it's so um, pretty?" He sounded confused for a moment before he shook his head.

"Anyway, when you touch my tail it's relaxing so as repayment for me coming into town with you yesterday you have to pet it until I'm satisfied!" Kokichi giggled while Shuichi just blushed even more.

He did technically ask me if he could come with me...but I guess I can, it is soft and it feels nice...not that I would admit that to him though...

"A-Alright," He sighed and started stroking his tail making Kokichi smile at him. He must really like this... Shuichi took mental notes on how Kokichi was reacting and he kept finding him cuter and cuter as the time passed.
